Also my fragrance direct order has just arrived and I’m chuffed with everything.

I ordered This Yankee candle set which worked out at £3.72 after the discount. Ideal for Christmas gifts for teachers!

On the topic of Toniebox, my son will be 4 this year, is that a good age for one? Do they normally do better discounts for Black Friday or anything like that?

The website does have 15% off everything at the moment but reluctant it they have better discounts later in the year.

We are massive Yoto fans in this house. I prefer it for the vast choice of audio for older children so more longevity, the cards are much cheaper than the figures and take up less space. We have a big player and two minis for travelling.

Thegirlhasnamechanged · 22/07/2022 13:52

Thanks for the heads up @TamSamLam I wouldn’t have even thought about that side of things!

JustForThisThread13 · 22/07/2022 14:01

Not quite a link to a specific item, but I searched Christmas jumpers on Vinted last month for my daughter. There are loads on there at the moment. Usually only a couple of pounds each. She scrolled and picked one and it's now washed and away ready for all the Christmas shenanigans it's needed for.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 22/07/2022 15:01

I saw this pop up earlier and thought I would have a scroll and see if I can tick off any gifts!

Any funky tshirt fans, qwertee has a sale with tees starting at £4. They have hellfire club and a couple of other stranger things ones for £7. Free shipping with 6+ tshirts.

DreamingofItaly2023 · 22/07/2022 15:30

I definitely recommend a yoto, DS got one last Christmas and it has been used daily. More longevity than Tonies which are aimed at younger children. I believe 15% is the best discount you will get Magik

Is green but Tonies are worth investing in if you have more than one littlie.
We got out daughter a Tonie box for her 3rd Christmas. She had outgrown it by her 5th Christmas so we got her a Yoto box and she wrapped up the Tonie box and gave it to her brother.
She would never have been interested in the Yoto box at 3. She needed the cute little figures and shorter stories.

GrinAndVomit · 22/07/2022 15:41

I agree*

Cuwins · 22/07/2022 16:39

I was in smyths toys this afternoon and noticed they have some Lego sets reduced and a classic box with quite a good reduction.
They also have both Tonie boxes and the figures reduced.

There lots of new bits on fragrance direct so might be worth another look. I've just bought a friend's lip balm duo gift set for £2.70 ish which will be dead cute as a stocking filler. I also thought I'd mention the beautypro face mask advent calendar which works out as £10 in the deal but has 12 masks in it which retail at ~£5 each and have amazing reviews. I have brought one of them and just took the contents out to split as I'm doing older nieces a beauty box of sorts each (they're 19-25yrs old).

Just wanted to share my end of year teacher gifts with you in case anyone is toying with ordering from Rex of London.
These are water bottles and matching snack boxes. They worked out at less than a fiver each in the sale!
I ordered coffee mugs and snack boxes for teacher Christmas gifts at the same time (and saved the postage)

Is there a code for the fragrance direct 50% off outlet? It's not automatically taking it off my amount and I can't find a code through the thread xx

2under2howscary · 22/07/2022 19:41

Extra50 isn't working for me - saying it's invalid xx

FluffyFluffMonster · 22/07/2022 20:20

Does anyone know where I could get a bargain from with printed labels for a jar please?

Someaddedsugar · 22/07/2022 20:27

@FluffyFluffMonster have you tried Etsy or eBay?

Cosywosy · 22/07/2022 20:41

This may not be for everyone, but I recently bought some very cheap second hand Happyland toys from Vinted.

I wouldn't have looked there but after seeing how expensive the sets now are in The Entertainer I thought I'd have a look.

My DD will be 4 at Christmas and Santa doesn't wrap presents so she won't wonder why they're not boxed.

There are quite a few sets and different pieces still for sale.

Conversely our 2 year loves his yoto because of the record your own cards, he has grandparents reading him stories every night. His bestie has a Tonie and gets through the figures like nobody's business because they look like normal toys. I'm a total convert though, we bought a second one because our kids fought over the mini so much 🤣

Isonthecase · 22/07/2022 20:49

Has anyone come across any bargains on mathsy/engineering type games for early primary ages? I'm eyeing up the Turing tumble for my 5 year old but wanted a couple of options. Happy to pay more for good quality.

Bright Minds is an excellent website for this kind of thing. Not always a bargain though.

Iknowitisheresomewhere · 22/07/2022 22:05

Turing Tumble is good but I think would be too complicated for a 5 year old. I would say more like 7-10.

I would really recommend Camelot Junior

Fabuleuse · 22/07/2022 22:25

We have a Turing Tumble too which DS1 got last Christmas aged 7 and I think it is best from about that sort of age onwards (I'm 37 and I've probably played with it more than him). Smart Games are good, we have IQ Puzzle Pro and Colour Code, also Rush Hour and Genius Square. I remember seeing Genius Square very discounted on the Argos website last year which was annoying as I paid full price!

Givealittlebit · 22/07/2022 23:05

Oh I must have missed the bath and body works reductions at next - gutted!

MrsCrimbo74 · 22/07/2022 23:09

UGG sandals £27 and they come in a nice UGG shoe box
