Thanks but nowhere near Bletchley Park. The whittling book made me 😁 because DF is rather clumsy and not good at anything requiring precision. His writing is like a doctor's; indecipherable to most people. He is definitely not the person to take up a hobby involving sharp tools!
No, I was thinking of this for DS, but he probably shouldn't be given a sharp knife either 😄.

I know this is a bit of a long shot but if anyone sees any deals on the PS5 could you let me know please? DS is going to buy himself one at some point over the next few weeks so there’s no immediate rush but hoping there might be an offer with a free game or similar

If anyone is looking for a fountain pen WH Smiths have the Parker Vector fountain pen in lots of lovely colours and includes a starter cartridge for just £4!

Makes a great stocking filler and an excellent first fountain pen for those that way inclined.

Saw the same on Amazon for £15!

@GrandDuchessRomanov was that instore? I can't see it discounted online, but that may be because of how awful the wh smith site is.
I have one of these pens in white, i love it... would happily buy a couple more and have different colour ink in each one....

@dizzygirl1 Sorry, should have said but yes it was.

There were loads (all different colours, I got gorgeous teal one) in my local store.

I'm a bit of a fountain pen snob but saw these and thought I would grab one and see how it fared as I struggle being left handed with some nibs.

Seriously impressed! Going back tomorrow for more colours and will do as you suggest and use different coloured inks in each.

That'll explain my trip to JL yesterday then! Nothing in the Xmas section, and I mean nothing, had prices on! Lots of signs saying reduced to clear and confused customers looking for staff to ask for prices. Obviously staff had taken the prices all down ready to reprice for today. Thank you!

Free postage over £30.

Quite a few items on the sale pages are out of stock, though, so best to move quickly for the best remaining bargains,

I've just splurged on Cox and Cox sale, I'd never buy from them full price and am fully prepared for a long wait for the items, but I think I have more than enough wrapping and ribbons for next year! Their paper is gorgeous quality and currently half price plus an extra 20% off.

Has anyone else that bought the Lidl white battery powered passenger train had a problem with the charge port pushing in on itself so can no longer be charged? First day using it today and it's broken! Gutted Sad
