What are you wearing on Christmas Day?

We’re just staying home and my dad will come round for Christmas lunch and games. So chilled day but can’t decide whether to make an effort (especially as haven’t been out anywhere really this year) or Xmas jumper? But don’t want to get too hot while cooking.
Or super casual/ non Christmassy ??

What is everyone else wearing?

@Mrsfussypants1 thank you! The reality isn't quite the look I was going for but I decided to wear it for Xmas eve instead as my children are all visiting for beef stroganoff .

Tomorrow is always hectic although I've tried to negate that with the help of m and s - maybe I'll wear a dress tomorrow with room for Xmas pudding 🎄

I'm writing my sermon (really a very short reflection) now and I've picked Boney M (and not the Harry Belafonte version) of Marys Boy Child for one of the songs

Us Methodists are staying open tomorrow (a couple of churches in our circuit have shut though as the local preachers have Covid)

Would have been my hush dress but because covid has changed plans it's likely to be pjs!!

I'll.be wearing whatever is clean at the top of the clean laundry pile (assuming I don't put it away tonight)

Something co.fy that I can open the door and stand on the doorstep with to with my mum a happy Christmas. We have covid in the house, and so mum will be doing a doorstep drop off of presents and greetings before returning alone to her house. On Christmas day. Ffs. Covid sucks

I got this dress in the Wallis sale in July 2020 and wore it last Christmas and will be wearing it again tomorrow. It’s so comfy, doesn’t have any dangly sleeves that will get in the way of cooking, but it’s nice and shiny and shimmery. Think I’ll wear it every Christmas until me or it falls apart! I have shiny flat shoes but I’ll probably wear my slippers or Uggs.

I will mostly be wearing gravy, custard and cream.

I have an unexpectedly quiet Christmas so will just be with DH and 4 DC so I’ll be forgoing the more formal option and wearing wide leg black velvet trousers and a cashmere sequined jumper from Wyse.

Off to mums for breakfast, jeans and a christmas jumper then home and same until 6pm then jammies.

PJ's then uniform, then back to PJ's

I've come down with the flu (not covid, not a cold, general real flu) so it'll be pyjamas all day.

I’ll stay in my Christmas themed pajamas until I have to get dressed to go to an evening gathering. So will DC.

A fine knit black jumper dress with appliquéd sequin feathers round the front yoke area. Then either black jaquered jeggings or black cable knit tights. And black faux suede ankle boots with low heels that are covered in different beads and pearls.

I am planning to wear a hush red maxi dress with chunky boots and a thick jumper to visit family in the morning then I will ditch the jumper to cook.

Then a quick change into white company wide leg black velvet trousers with a cream silk T-shirt and bejewelled necklace for dinner. We are eating after dark when BIL finishes work.

My shift ends 8:30am Christmas morning, so until then scrubs and then for the rest of the day I shall likely be found in either comfy pjs, or my husband's t shirt and a pair of leggings
