We’re just staying home and my dad will come round for Christmas lunch and games. So chilled day but can’t decide whether to make an effort (especially as haven’t been out anywhere really this year) or Xmas jumper? But don’t want to get too hot while cooking.
Or super casual/ non Christmassy ??

What is everyone else wearing? Xmas Smile

DC have light up Christmas T-shirts, DP and I will wear Christmas jumpers. It's just us this year so I'll not bother with hair, make up or jewellery!

peaceanddove · 24/12/2021 15:43

We're going out for Christmas lunch so I'm wearing a long sleeved, bronze, glittery shift dress from Hush with black, Wolford micronet tights and black, high heeled, velvet ankle boots from Mint Velvet x

Wagsandclaws · 24/12/2021 15:53

Hobbs pure wool trousers ( with an elasticated waist ) a mint velvet silk shirt and a beige pure collection cashmere cropped cardi.

Ralph Lauren new house shoes/slippers to top it off and a naff festive necklace with Pearl earrings

What are you wearing on Christmas Day?

My dm, db and fil are coming for Christmas dinner/Late lunch. We’re wearing Christmas jumpers. Cheesy but fun. We’ll play a board game after we’ve stuffed our faces and then fall asleep in the living room.

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 24/12/2021 15:58

We are spending Christmas morning on the beach hopefully so will be all the layers 🤣. Just us and the children all day tomorrow (have had extended family Christmas today)

emmathedilemma · 24/12/2021 15:58

Something with an elasticated waist!!

legosnowqueen · 24/12/2021 16:00

Red jersey dress (old Boden), black tights, black Uggs.

miltonj · 24/12/2021 16:02

I usually wear a sparkly dress, but this year is new, soft Pajamas! Pregnant and looking after toddler and just want comfort... I'll still look cute though GrinGrin

IncompleteSenten · 24/12/2021 16:03

PJ's

Roominmyhouse · 24/12/2021 16:07

Kind of wish I’d bought a Christmas dress as my jeans already feel a bit tight! 😳

I’ve got a black tiered T-shirt dress so might wear that with tights as I’ll get hot cooking dinner and it will also give me space for all the food!

Puddstalk · 24/12/2021 16:32

Every year I plan a nice outfit - this year it’s a Beulah London red dress but what will actually happen is I will just throw on my hush joggers with a sweatshirt “to get things started in the kitchen” and just never change - if we are away for Christmas I would wear the planned outfit.

desperatehousewife21 · 24/12/2021 16:36

Love reading all the replies and hearing what everyone’s wearing.

I’m thinking a black T shirt dress which I can style up with jewellery. Do my hair and make up so still comfortable and not too hot to cook in.

Grey wool and silk camisole by Oscalito.

Black cotton/rayon high waisted flared gym pants by LA Gear, 3 for 2 from Sports Direct.

Cashmere socks by Loro Piana changed to bare feet in case of slipping in the kitchen. I will also put on a long-sleeved jogging hoody - provenance unknown but probably Sports Direct - when getting the chicken out of the oven in case of fat splashes on my bare arms and chest.

OhGiveUp · 24/12/2021 17:10

Jeans and sweater for the pub, then my DH when we get back 😁

Mrsfussypants1 · 24/12/2021 17:10

Next camel neutral soft loungwear dress (long length) and racing suede style ugg slippers (again Next) It's a very casual christmas for us this year. I have to say @Wagsandclaws I absolutely love your whole outfit, can you style me next Christmas please?

Mrsfussypants1 · 24/12/2021 17:11

Racing? I don't know how that slipped in there, I haven't started on the Baileys yet.

Tabbacus · 24/12/2021 17:12

Pyjamas, although I don't sleep in any so I guess might get away with calling it loungewear.

limitedperiodonly · 24/12/2021 17:13

I love expensive underwear hence the Oscalito top. Gym pants I don't mind so much because I always exercise in them and throw them away before they get baggy. But my feet are always freezing so I insist on warm socks for nine months of the year.

LaurieFairyCake · 24/12/2021 17:16

Jeans and a sweatshirt (saying 'King of Kings') to lead the Christmas Day service at church Smile

AllThingsServeTheBeam · 24/12/2021 17:22

My pjs! Just put them on!

nannybeach · 24/12/2021 17:29

My fabulous Fox dress from Jo Brown, sick of all the beige, brown, black in the shops.

limitedperiodonly · 24/12/2021 17:34

@LaurieFairyCake I watched King Of Kings this week. There are so many references to that film in Life Of Brian (my favourite film) starting with the movie poster that I gave up counting.

Midnight Mass and Christmas Day services have been restricted at my church because of Covid but I wept over a carol concert in the street on Monday by another Christian denomination who were roving the area. They could sing and though it was just a euphonium he could really play. I wrapped up warmly in sweatshirt, jeans and big coat to stand on the doorstep for their joyous performance.

Merry Christmas and sing your heart out tomorrow. x

PJs

Theregoesmyhomebirth · 24/12/2021 17:42

Pajamas in the morning. Scrubs from 1pm. Not massively dissimilar in appearance tbh Grin

WildStallyn · 24/12/2021 17:49

Either black jeans and a soft grey jumper with sparkles or coated leggings with a dark red jumper dress. Both feel vaguely festive but are comfy enough for spending most of the day on the floor playing with the DC.
