What are you wearing on Christmas Day?

We’re just staying home and my dad will come round for Christmas lunch and games. So chilled day but can’t decide whether to make an effort (especially as haven’t been out anywhere really this year) or Xmas jumper? But don’t want to get too hot while cooking.
Or super casual/ non Christmassy ??

What is everyone else wearing?

This dress, but with thick tights.

Me and the DC have matching leggings from Fred and Noah with non-matching jumpers which all have stars on :)

Grey ribbed smock dress and tights, with my DM boots.

A slouchy black polo neck with a velvet sparkly skirt and tights. Haven’t worn it before so no idea how well it will fare against copious amounts of food and drink

My new Lucy and yak dungarees that are 2 sizes too big because mamas got eating to do.

Black tights and a super soft red jersey dress.

I'm wearing "lounge pyjamas" as I'll be at home with DS. Sounds naff but it'll do me.

Probably jeans and a passably festive jumper.
Or else black tights and a v comfy dress and a cardy, which I will glam up with wellies and a thick coat when I walk the dogs.

Off to my mums this year. Wearing a sequin blazer dress with tights and chunky buckle boots (I can only tone down the goth in me so much!) making an effort this year as the year before we were locked down (family were in Tier 4) and the year before I got told off by my mother for changing into pj's as soon as I arrived 😂😂😂

Black dungarees with a light sweater underneath. Cashmere socks I got as a gift a while ago and my UGG slippers. Will do a little hair and makeup.
I'm 6 months pregnant, have a toddler running around and we are having a small Christmas anyway so many want a comfy & practical outfit.

Running gear for Parkrun, then home, shower, clean PJs on for the rest of the day

Some lounging pants and a baggy jumper to hide the fact I won't be bothered to wear a bra. In laws coming so can't wear pyjamas so these are the next best thing

This dress. It’s surprisingly very comfy too as well as super sparkly

*I had my 3rd round of chemo yesterday, so I will be in Christmas PJs.

A red velvet swing dress and Dorothy shoes. Will pin curl my hair and dd will do my makeup. I love being glam. After dinner will change into xmas pjs and slob out.

Not derailing the thread - I will be pulling off crazy cat lady with red santa print 50s dress, massive flared underskirt and light up bauble necklace with matching tiara.....and slippers. So many of you are wearing shoes and boots. Serious question - do you take them off in people's houses/make the shift to slippers? (Just seems uncomfy and a bit unhygienic wearing outdoor shoes indoors.)

The clothes I wear usually... don’t get dressed up for Christmas, never have and never will... we’ve done Christmas at my nans till I was 17 and we moved in with her and then we still did it at home. One year we went to my uncles other than that we’ve been home. Don’t see the point, I say wear what you are most comfortable in...

It’s only us and the children, as always but we anyways dress up on Christmas Day. No shoes though, we don’t wear any while indoors.
I think I’ll wear either a lacy navy dress or a black one with lacy sleeves, both knee length so with thermal tights.

Jeans and festive jumper for me, I really don’t want to get dressed up to spend the day in a hot kitchen.

Red Fat Face swingy dress, short sleeved for cooking, cardi if needed and black opaque tights. Make up and jewellery.

I’m going to be wearing a Christmas jumper, a stretchy waisted skirt and sequin boots that a drag Queen would struggle to walk in.

Just picked this dress up in the sale in John Lewis. Will wear with black boots.

High waisted, christmassy pattern leggings and a long line nursing vest with a Christmas cardi. Had a baby a couple of weeks ago and going for comfort over style!

Jeans and a jumper that I bought from ASOS and are wrapped under the tree ready for me to wear tomorrow. Will do my make up and make a bit of an effort for when my boyfriend comes round in the evening (kids will have gone to their dads by then).
