Toying with ideas... Have thought of beans on toast, but that doesn't sound so special Grin

Ideally something not incredibly complex Xmas Smile

Smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels and espresso martinis

Good bread toasted, scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and caviar.

Or soft boiled egg with soldiers and caviar

Buck’s Fizz, cranberry juice, coffee

@MrNapkinHead, my late parents were from Guyana(British Guiana). My father always made Garlic Pork at Christmas, and I am carrying on the tradition. My Dsis English husband was actually instructing me on how best to make it as he has been enjoying it for over 25 years, and has taken over preparing it in their house. My own DH can take it or leave it and DD does not like it.

Croissants with cream cheese and a selection of anti pasti.

Very nice but very easy and everyone just helps themselves to whatever fillings they want.

HerbErtlinger · 19/12/2021 22:51

Pate on toast for me, DP will just have his normal cereal, he never deviates

The kids have a choice of reindeer crumpets with Nutella or jam or I bought a box of Oreo cereal as a treat

Timeisavirtue · 19/12/2021 22:58

Bacon sarnies 😊

Snowmonkeycoat · 19/12/2021 23:17

St Clement's pancakes, candied bacon/ smoked streaky bacon, oranges, maple syrup, cranberry mocktails and what we call non alco Bucks fizz (which is really just orange juice and lemonade in a posh glass!)

InTheCludgie · 20/12/2021 13:06

I've bought the M&S frozen pastries, plus a chocolate chip pannetone. Making a Nutella Xmas tree on Xmas eve with DS so will prob have that too

Make it the night before and pop it in the oven before sitting down to presents. It is soooo good.
