Researching Fairtrade cashews. Cashews have been off the list for a few years after I read about horrific working conditions. Workers getting burned by the toxic shells.
So…
Cashews
lebkuchen
Cheese straws ( homemade)
Tiny mince pies topped with frangipane.
Cheeses , all of the cheeses!
Broccoli and Stilton soup.
Those disgusting cheese footballs for DH.
Nuts in the shell.
Sprouts on a stick for DGS ( he loves them)
Pigs in blankets
JO’s get ahead gravy ( Do NOT put star anise in)
Homemade raspberry gin, marmalade gin, baileys.
We have given up on Roses and Quality Street.
Bucks Fizz to start the day.
Enormous Bubble and Squeak for Boxing Day.
Loaf tin of Sausage meat stuffing and a veggie version.
Boiled clementine cake.
I might need to get out of bed and get a snack now !

Some Spar’s selling choc oranges for £1 right now. That’s what they were last year, so might be worth grabbing them now if you see them.

I bought some small Lemon Panatonne , it's only me that eats it . Either Lemon or Blood Orange curd to spread on it .

Still deciding on biscuits for Christmas , my DC like the Family Circle ones in the red tub, nice variety and stay crisp . But those M&S biscuit curl ones ( rolled in a tube shape) are on the list too

Dente · 02/11/2022 21:44

Lobster, champagne, red cabbage, Egg nog, pretty much anything from M&S I can get my chops on!

Caughtupinsomething · 02/11/2022 22:00

Snack stuff:
Crackers, nice cheese (a nice extra mature cheddar, Wensleydale and cranberries) & chutney
Apples and oranges
Pringles
Choc fingers
Fruit and nut selection
Fondant Frosty fancies
Toblerone
Toffeefee
After eights
I bake so will be making gingerbread men, choc fudge cake or a yule log, sticky cinnamon/maple rolls for breakfast, h/made sausage rolls etc.
Croissants
Calved Ham
Orange juice
Bucks fizz
Wine
Custard
Double cream for pouring
Costco large spray cream
Asda chocolate spray cream (dcs)
Vanilla icecream (with pods in)
Hot chocolate, marshmallows

Then just all of the usual dinner stuff and Condiments. Parsnips in honey and pork sage&onion stuffing are a must, preferably with apple/cranberry or both even better, always make my own pigs in blankets with high quality chipalatas and lean bacon (hate the streaky fatty stuff).
