Thanks @Carrie76 for the title. Just for everyone’s info - the chat was about tablet size 😁

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.
@SingItToWinIt Mapominoes is fun, and we like that even those of us (adults) with less knowledge of geography and flags can still keep up with the kids 😂
Oh yes, have this too. It's good.

Mumumumu · 30/11/2021 20:10

Has anyone who ordered the £2.99 Jurassic park tshirt from IWOOT received theirs yet?

Waveafterwaveslowlydrifting · 30/11/2021 20:21

Yes @Mumumumu mine arrived last week.

BeaLola · 30/11/2021 20:21
@BlueFlavour a good history game is Placing the Past - enjoyed by us all including my Aspie DS
I have never heard of this game but have a history loving DH and DS14 - is it something they would be able to play against / or can they team up against guests or is it more adults ? Thank you

I was going to suggest Mapominoes too - you can combine packs & make a huge game.

Has anyone who ordered a Tonie box using the Vodafone code received anything yet?

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 30/11/2021 20:40

@sewverylazy how about the fish who could wish? I loved reading that to my girls. Same author as Winnie the witch who was also a favourite of ours! The fish who could wish is a goldfish so I imagine fairly easy to find!

Or nick Sharratt Shark in the park. Not technically a fish but fairly close!

Or dr suess 1 fish, 2 fish, red fish blue fish. Or you have the goldfish in a bowl in cat in the hat so could get the other characters too 😁

Or Barry the fish with fingers, not sure there's a plush though!

Or you have tiddler.

Or my absolute favourite commotion in the ocean!

(Nursery teacher here i read alot of books 🤣)

You can get someone's name sent to Mars on the 2026 Mars rover for free via this link. You get a certificate you can print off.

mars.nasa.gov/participate/send-your-name/future

Not sure why the link won't go clicky but if you cut and paste it into Google it should work.

If anyone can guide me to an online print shop where I could get mine printed, I would be grateful. The certificate is like a gig ticket in shape which doesn't fit standard photo sizes.

MerylSqueak · 30/11/2021 20:55

Actually I have just found that I can do it on Popsa

No but they rang me last week to say they had Tonie stock issues and I needed to choose another one that wasn't one of the Disney ones. They said they hoped to post by the end of the week but nothing's arrived yet.

@BeaLola it is a brilliant game for both adults and kids, though probably kids aged 10+ just for general knowledge. The cards have such a wide range of topics or events that it feels a very inclusive game where you can make educated guesses (and learn lots too). Each player gets five cards for each round you want to play, and you put your own cards in chronological order. You leave out any you're unsure of. Other teams can challenge if they think you're wrong. Player who is right gets to keep the cards. Player with the most cards is the winner. We sometimes play just 1-2 quick rounds, or sometimes play for longer. Lots of fun and not just for serious history buffs or adults - hope that helps!

@SingItToWinIt we like 'where in the world' in our family.

ButtonMoonLoon · 30/11/2021 21:16

Has anybody seen any Nintendo switch deals?

Crapbags · 30/11/2021 21:29

@Mumumumu
I ordered the t shirt and I’m still waiting hit the rest of my order pretty quick. Really hope it comes🥴

noodledoodler · 30/11/2021 21:32

@MerylSqueak thank you so much for the mars idea, my kids will LOVE it.

spudjulia · 30/11/2021 21:34

@SingItToWinIt

Any recommendations for a geography game?

Ds 13 loves geography - he can name pretty much any country or capital city, recognises the majority of flags, knows all the US states (actually sat down and learned them voluntarily lol) and loves quizzes to do with Countries.

Any great ones?

@SingItToWinIt, have you looked at sporcle.com? It's a free website/app, not a present idea, but has some great quizzes. You can select geography quizzes specifically. We used to use it for firm time activities in school.
PhantomErik · 30/11/2021 22:06

Mumumumu yes my Jurassic park t-shirt arrived a few days ago.

MerylSqueak · 30/11/2021 22:07

Smile @noodledoodler I think it's really cool too! I got it as a present for each of the kids I support in school as well as mine. Really unique -and free!

Popsa have 50%off photo books today with BLACK 50. There's a code on the referral thread for £15 for both. Don't know if they stack.

Youvegotafriendinme · 30/11/2021 22:24

Thank you so much @MerylSqueakmer my Ds and DH will love it!

Sallylovesdaisy · 30/11/2021 22:40
@BlueFlavour my son has ASD too and tbh the best presents for him are ones he actually asks for. Not as fun for us as there’s no surprise, but if he doesn’t actively WANT something then he doesn’t want it at all. It’s taken us many years to learn this, and he’s found Christmas very difficult in the past. It’s worth having a look online with him to see if anything takes his fancy. Little treats like his favourite chocolates still go down well, and my son loves a particular Pokémon drink which we can only get in the Chinese supermarket here.
My Grandson is autistic too. Every year I ask him if there's anything he'd like for Christmas, and every year he'd reply "something random". This year I asked him, and he replied " I'd like an electric piano", I cheered!!

user1466167893 · 30/11/2021 22:54

@SingItToWinIt have a look at Who Knows Where? My geography loving daughter loves it and it's done her general geography knowledge a huge benefit. She's top of her geography class on general QA day as she literally knows where everything is as a result!

nickdrakeslovechild · 30/11/2021 23:06

I found a present idea today. Aldi have the Marcus Rashford book in for £3.99 and I added the Marcus Radishford toy for £2.99. Thought it was a great idea for my footie loving DD.

bizzey · 01/12/2021 02:05

@SingItToWinIt
Another one saying the same as PP.
"Who knows where ?" was a big hit with us ....even with grumpy , board game adverse ds ( 19)

Flexible rules as well ..Ie:
Anything goes !!

bizzey · 01/12/2021 02:11

Re board games ...another one we still play alot is YASK .
Bought it by accident 5/6ish years ago on a display stand in a big shop ( ?Bentels ?)
Can be played by all ages ..(barring under writing/talking age )
Pure fluke if you get the letter and subject to match !
