I remember seeing a toy mentioned recently on one of these threads, a box type thing maybe with flying components?! Really can't remember.

Anyway what are you getting your 7yo boys this year?

OP posts:

Tabbypawpaw · 22/11/2021 22:00

An introduction to engineering set (about £30 on Amazon, from his grandparents)
The Gravitrax starter set - from Santa
Harry Potter light up wand - from uncle
Guineas Book of WRs - from aunt
Two remote control cars where the drivers eject (I haven’t looked too deeply into but saw it and thought it looked cool!) from other grandparents
Ticket to Ride London board game - from another aunt
Everything under the Sun (a question for everyday book) - from me as he asks me questions all day long so now I can point at the book for an answer!
Some other books like Captain Underpants, Dirty Bertie etc

The stand out present from last year was a nerf gun and the Brio pinball game. Most consistently played with all year long. Magna qubix are also fun.

I don’t have a 7 year old but it’s really interesting to read these threads.
I had no idea that Angry Birds was still popular and I’m surprised at the Harry Potter stuff, I thought that would be a bit old hat by now.

I don't think it is aside from DS. I had to move heaven and earth to get the lego šŸ˜†

Also heavily featuring Pokemon and Switch game(s) here - but I'd heartily recommend a crystal growing set to those looking for ideas.
We got one last year for xmas and it was such a success we ended up getting two more during the year as we ran out of materials etc.

HomeSliceKnowsBest · 23/11/2021 06:38

Why on earth would HP be "old hat"?

PriamFarrl · 23/11/2021 07:10

Ds is 7 and he's getting:

A new bike
A couple of band t-shirts and hoodies
Wireless headphones
A five nights at Freddy's Freddy costume

And I think relatives are getting him a couple of games for his switch and some light up drumsticks and strip lights for his drum kit.
