I remember seeing a toy mentioned recently on one of these threads, a box type thing maybe with flying components?! Really can't remember.

Anyway what are you getting your 7yo boys this year?

OP posts:

I think ours was a size-up bike

SleepingStandingUp · 23/11/2021 09:32

@PriamFarrl

I don’t have a 7 year old but it’s really interesting to read these threads.
I had no idea that Angry Birds was still popular and I’m surprised at the Harry Potter stuff, I thought that would be a bit old hat by now.

But retro is cool. And the original Harry Potter fans are now having kids... In just surprised it's so young as DS hasn't seen them yet and I think he's too young
FourTeaFallOut · 23/11/2021 09:35

Harry Potter isn't old if you are seven.

We've got our 7yo a (music) keyboard, stand & headphones, a pottery wheel and some Lego technic. And bits and pieces including some Harry Potter socks and alarm clock 😁

FourTeaFallOut · 23/11/2021 09:36

Mine isn't a fan of the hp movies but he loves the books.

She will get a HP trinket in her stocking now age 13.

Oh yes I forgot bakugan he loves those.

SleepingStandingUp · 23/11/2021 09:47

Now I feel worse lol, there's no way my yr2 is up for Harry Potter as much in terms of stamina and concentration as anything else.

He has got some books too, ranging from There's A Unicorn In My Book to Cat Kid Comic Club
Echoesandsilence · 23/11/2021 09:51

I have a just turned 8yo so following for stocking filler ideas.
Hes getting one big present this year. Last year he got lots of small presents so I'm worried he might feel upset at receiving 'less' this year.

FourTeaFallOut · 23/11/2021 09:53

Would it make you feel better if I told you we are up to the Order of the Phoenix and I don't like Harry Potter and I haven't even been able to crowbar one Ronald Dahl or a Goosebumps in-between books since we picked up the Philosopher's Stone so long ago now that I have switched reading on a night-time with DH in preference for washing up and cleaning the kitchen?

My 7 year old daughter (not sure what difference it makes!) Is getting a microscope, lego, activity book, selection box, enid blyton mysteries collection/ book box set, our generation doll and a sewing craft kit.

All things I'd happily buy for a boy or a girl, hopefully given you a few ideas. My 5 year old son is getting a very similar selection of things.

Plus stocking with usual type stuff, chocolate coins, stationery, lego polybag, socks etc.

PetuniaPlum · 23/11/2021 10:12

Meccano
Mario Kart for the Switch
3 new boardgames
