Usually a really good turn out. We haven't all seen each other in 18 months although a few smaller gatherings.

Only about 25% of the team have agreed to attend the Christmas do. It will be a bit flat I think so now I'm thinking about not going.

Do you have a do and are you going?

Would you go based on the above?

@Squirrelblanket

We don't have a company wide one, we're encouraged to arrange them by team and each person has a budget of £40. Last year we all just got given the £40 and encouraged to have a virtual party over Teams and they are doing the same this year. (We are all still WFH).

Some people in my team are talking about meeting in town after the virtual party but I can't be arsed trailing into town after work. Plus it's on 17th December and we're away at the in laws that weekend.

£40!!! Wow! We get ten!

Ours (booked earlier this year) has been cancelled. With so many unvaccinated and vulnerable staff, it was seen as risky. Most people are relieved as nobody likes forced merriment eating into their weekends.

We've had loads of interest this year, more people than ever have signed up! We're all frontline healthcare workers so have been working really closely in intense circumstances throughout the pandemic and had no Christmas party last year due to covid so everyone is dying to have a celebration together outside work. Unfortunately with covid numbers rising here in Ireland now it's looking like it could be cancelled.

Call centre - customer services.

Was the same when I was working in the logistics industry though.

Grim.
