Hope you all find me ok

@EightToSixer clearly knows something I don’t about neom boxes 🤣.

If you’re posting anything specifically for me please do @ me or I may not spot it. It’s helpful if when sharing bargain info you bold it to make it easy for people to differentiate between chat and bargain links.

If JL dispatch food items (witch are non refundable in their T&C) but cancel other items such as YSL as out of stock - can they then charge full price on those food items (that people thought they were getting for free as under £20)?

So for example if you ordered £130 of stuff, £110 of which YSL, then added a bunch of 'free' chocolates at £22 per box - could the customer find the chocolates are delivered (they can't return them), JL deliver no YSL but also keep the £130?

Hope that makes sense.

@imnottoofussed - is there a local museum or concert hall or theatre you could buy her membership of? Worst option she doesn’t use it.

pumpkinpal · 20/11/2021 20:12

@OneMorePieceofCheese

I have a £10 off £30 at Boden if anyone wants a code? Free postage too.
I would love it ❤️
Christmasmcchristmasface · 20/11/2021 20:17

Agree with @RJnomore1 I’m not going to feel guilty for trying
John Lewis spend £5 million on their Christmas advert
That glitch drove a hell of a lot of traffic to their site than their advert.

They don’t have a store in Northern Ireland so not somewhere I’ve ever shopped - but I discovered them because of this

I didn’t put my glitchy order through due to my bank but I did go back and have a look at all the fab things they do have in total I spent £120 on decorations and they have gorgeous radley smart watches at just under £20

It’s also now a store I will have a look at again despite their lack of interest of having a store in my part of the world

OneMorePieceofCheese · 20/11/2021 20:18

@pumpkinpal Sorry. Already gone, but I do have BlueLightCard if anyone needs anything.

Iknowitisheresomewhere · 20/11/2021 20:28

Has anyone seen Minecraft pants (briefs not boxers) for children anywhere? I want age 6 and can only find them on eBay but not in that size.

Can anyone recommend a bean bag or a place to buy bean bags? For a small adult sized DD and a child sized DS if person size matters.

Ah, it's ok. Jumper I've been longing after not in my size now so all good Smile

MalingeringMary · 20/11/2021 20:32

Don't suppose anyone has a spare Argos code do they please? Spending over £50 (very un-christmassy - the bin just broke and those things are expensive!) Would be ever so grateful!

Daisy829 · 20/11/2021 20:34

@gaggiagirl not wanting to get involved in JLgate but we did buy our 10yo DD a bean bag from there earlier this year. Think it was about £70 & it’s been brilliant so far. We all use it!

Daisy829 · 20/11/2021 20:35

@TinyTroubleMaker that’s a really good question but I don’t think they will charge full price. I think they will either cancel the orders or deliver what they can depending on stock availability

TinyTroubleMaker · 20/11/2021 20:39

I could be over thinking it Grin

lightisnotwhite · 20/11/2021 20:41

imnottoofussed I got a cheap magazine subscription for my aunt which was so successful I’ve kept it going ( so now not cheap at all)!

Plus sized so likes her food? You can get lots of different type of food hampers from weird sweets to Fortnum and Mason salt in a fancy pot.

I got a whole box of lemons from here direct from the growers I don’t think lemons are in season now but it was fabulous to get the massive fruit through and reminded me of holidays! Grapefruit and walnuts are available amongst other stuff.

On ebay you can get the old fabric bus signs that went in the front. All different places if somewhere is important to her? Hellish to frame in a shop (£100+ ) but look cool and if you know anyone that could frame in the cheap so much the better.

Redken24 · 20/11/2021 20:41

Looking for a fabric playhouse why didn't I buy the djeco playhouse when it was on offer!
Either that or some build a dens kit. Help me out - what's best.

I'm filling a stocking for my dad, so far I've bought a couple of novelties - a multi tool pen from home bargains and a magnetic thing from bnm which you arrange little men into acrobat positions. Some touch screen gloves, his favourite aftershave and a bag of revels. I'll be putting some novelty socks in, slippers and a little Lego set. He doesn't really need anything and loves gadgets and novelties

LastStarFighter · 20/11/2021 20:43

Any suggestions for where to buy a case of weissbier (wheat beer). Ideally a selection of different ones. Doesn’t need to be hugely bargainous (up to £50). Would have loved to get one of those ones boxes with the snacks and things, but recipient only likes weissbier.

My husband loves his credit card sized Swiss army thingy. Uses it all the time. (And he's far from handy!) Fits in his wallet.

DH has asked me to get him an electric knife sharpener. I haven't a clue what is considered a good one. Can anyone recommend a good one please? Bargainous if possible would be great.

RJnomore1 · 20/11/2021 20:51

I’m looking for a spot of help with a couple of presents for DH.

I’ve bought him a coffee bean grinder, anywhere good for whole beans to go with it?

Secondly I bought him an ooni. It’s hidden at my friends as it’s rather large so I can’t even open it to look : does it come with everything needed to cook (apart from gas and food) or do I need to think about getting a pizza paddle to go with it?

SpamIAm · 20/11/2021 20:52

@imnottoofussed I'm not sure you get generic Etsy discount codes, I've only ever seen seller specific ones. Could try leaving something in your basket or favouriting the item and see if the seller sends a code through.
