Love this section of MN. Xmas Smile Reading a lot of the threads, everyone is asking for (Apart from Lego!) very 'grown up' presents/present ideas. Like candles, face cream, scarfs, etc. Am I the only one with a very different type of gift? I'm 47 YO and I'm getting, amongst other things, Sims 4 expansions, The Simpsons lounge pants, A Harley Quinn graphic novel...Are any of you out there getting anything 'ungrown up?' Like any computer games for example?
Just curious really. Xmas Smile

DH has Lego and I ordered myself a 'DesignerDoll' from Argos (which I may share with DD!) as it shares my name and has fabulous boots on!

I really like the usbourne magic painting books and always ask for them. I find them very therapeutic

I've also asked for Lego and Mario kart for my switch lite

Escape games are the order of the day for me, in a box, in a book or in real life. Pre-covid I got DH go-karting and we all did it. DH and I sometimes give each other video games. I always want board games.

Lego, a squishmallow (which I actually bought from Aldi and have given to my mum to wrap for me!), character pyjamas, quite possibly a game for my Nintendo Switch, board/card games...anything toiletry/smelly, scarf-like, candles or alcohol are lost on me...I basically have the mentality of a 9 year old (might be being generous there)!

Prokupatuscrakedatus · 14/11/2021 21:10

@MrsPear Isn't it - it is way out of budget, but I hope DS will pass his Abitur this year and then ..... (He is a fan, too!)

And then there is the ISS in Lego.

Herja · 14/11/2021 21:10

I've asked for lego and leopard dungarees. My brother is getting an adult size space hopper this year...

Pickles89 · 14/11/2021 21:16

YABVVVU to enjoy Sims 4! Sims 2 FOREVER!!!

But back to the question... For me it's Playmobil, which I 'collect' (ahem, play with, with the kids I look after!) and maybe the odd picture book (the latest, which I had for my birthday, was 'Bear Shaped' - only read that if you're feeling strong!!) I do love computer games but just download them myself from Steam. I am looking forward to the next Planet Zoo expansion which will probably be out around Christmas though! My 'Big Thing' last year was an indoor trampoline with bright rainbow bungees! I am a massive child and I don't deny it.

Holothane · 14/11/2021 21:18

I want the Stranger Things pop up book next May.

ThePoisonousMushroom · 14/11/2021 21:18
