Here we go people!

I thought we could start reading the Introduction from October 15th at a gentle pace to allow people to join the thread. Then all set for Chapter 1 on November 1st.

The Christmas Chronicles is currently just over £20 on Amazon. Maybe people could share all the options for those who are just joining us, who still want to get a copy.

I'm hoping this thread will be a lovely, gentle, uplifting transition into the Christmas period where we can share our thoughts, recipe attempts and inspiration from Nigel x

Mine was 2nd hand and so pristene I don't think it was even opened let alone read !

In preparation of Nigel-ness I've bought a pack of dates and some Camp coffee (liquid coffee/chicory) to make Sticky Toffee Puddings .

Looking forward to reading this lovely book.

I love this and have read it every year since it came out. I think that the fish pie recipe is my favourite.

Hello! Can I join please. I saw a thread on this earlier in the year and knew this would be my kind of book!

I love autumn and the run up to Christmas. I've had a sneak peak at some of the recipes and they look glorious!

Does anyone know how the podcast differs from the book? I have the book but am wondering if I will benefit from the podcasts too?

I have asked DH to buy me this instead of the advent calendar he offered. Very excited!

@Number109 it's not just a recipe book! It's a collection of notes, stories and beautiful photographs covering the whole winter season.

I don't know if the podcasts are free, but if they are, that might give you an idea if you're not sure if it's for you, without the expense of buying the book x

@RubyFakeLips I can see only 11 episodes on Apple podcasts.

This is the first few episodes. The last one is actually an extract form the kitchen diaries. I recognised some of the titles of podcasts from previous readings of the book.
