A few people have asked me how they should thank the person who sent them something - can I suggest you post on here? Namechange if you want to remain anonymous, and remember that your donor won't know your MN name anyway - so maybe give some clues (ie "thank you for the lego and the chocolate")

Frances I would sencerely like to thank for your gift of M&S vouchers. I can't believe how generous and thoughtful people are.
I know it sounds daft but when you are having a rough time of it and the postman drops something like this through the door, you don't feel as alone in your problems.
I won't bore you rambling on, but I wanted to say I appreciate it very much, as will dh and the kids. THANK YOU X

Thank you very much the generous mumnetter from DE14. Two parcels arrived today with some clothes for my baby and a Dr Who toy for my son. He LOVES Dr Who so it is just perfect.

We have had a nightmare this year with my daughter having two operations (one heart surgery). She is fed through a tube into her stomach and we have had numerous other problems with her contracting RSV etc.. I could go on all day! life has been very tough.

Hoping 2008 is much better. Thank you so much again

I had another box today from a postman who clerly didn't have a clue who it was for as he asked DP if it was for him

Thank you to Santa in SE38 for box full of goodies for all of us including a baby pouch(!!!) which i am looking up online as we speak and a bottle warmer which was a luxury that we never had with the other boys Dp always does the 1am/2am feed (expressed or otherwise) and our kettle takes FOREVER!

Ohmythankyousosomuch · 14/12/2007 15:09

Peshanearth

Please don't worry about the batteries! You have given us enough! I checked and put some in, and have now wrapped it up for my DS He will love it!!

I am trying very hard to save the choccies, although they are looking at me every time I go in the kitchen, so I suspect I'll give in at some point

And now that I know who you are, I can thenk you personally! Thankyou so much xx

Pinkchampagne · 14/12/2007 15:37

Thank you so much to whoever sent me the John Lewis vouchers & the sanctuary set. It was a really lovely surprise, and I will use the vouchers to buy my boys an extra Christmas gift each, as they have had a pretty tough year.
I am totally knocked out by the kindness of you lovely people. Thank you so much.xx

ThankyouThankyouThankyou · 14/12/2007 17:35

Received a wonderful parcel today with loads of lovely clothes for my baby boy to grow into, including the most fantastic knitted cardigan. You are so right about how quickly they grow, it seems only yesterday he was a little pink squishy newborn! And the books are great, although he may have to fight ds1 for the Thomas one He loves chewing looking at books already so they'll be fab. I was going to put the larger size clothes away but I think I might wrap them all up tp go in his stocking as I've a feeling wrapping paper is going to be a big part of the appeal for him this year, he had great fun earlier playing with the brown paper you'd sent it all in

Thank you Thank you Thank you Soooooooo much. You are fab! You all are!

I am overwhelmed!! I have just received 2 massive boxes of stuff!

I have only had a quick peak through as the dc are around so will have to wait till they are in bed before I can get it all out and have a proper play look.

But in one is some new clothes for ds1 which all look great and a game and some books; some lovely baby toys (which I think might be from vertbaudet??) and some lovely bits for my dd, I think she'll love the photo hanger especially. May try and find/print some pics to put in it tonight. Its all so perfect for them, thank you.

The other parcel is crammed full of toys including a spiderman thing ds1 will love and some books which lok great for him as he has just started school. Theres some lovely art and craft bits for dd and a great bag. And I love the little santa/reindeer/snowman bags, they'll be great in their stockings. So thank you SU, I believe you are also the lovely lovely lady who is responsible for the email I received from Amazon last night with a gift certificate You've been so incredibly generous, thank you.

I really am overwhelmed by how much I have received from people who dont even know me.

Thank you Thank you Thank you both of you so much, this will transform our christmas into something truly magical. And i am looking forward to them going to bed even more than normal so I can have a good look and get it all wrapped up. For a few years I had lost the 'christmas feeling' i remember from childhood but this is bringing it all back to me so THANK YOU

HaveAVeryMerryChristmas · 15/12/2007 14:39

ThankyouThankyouThankyou: You are very welcome, glad to help a fellow Mum. Hope you have a lovely Xmas. I was worried that the parcel wouldn't arrive for a while so decided to send the voucher aswell( I dont know your circumstances but hope it helps). The voucher is to do with as you wish. I dont know how long you have to use it but feel free to use it as you want (what I am trying to say is dont feel you have to use if for xmas)

HaveAVeryMerryChristmas · 15/12/2007 14:41

Oh meant to add I was looking for a Ben10 toy but coudlnt work out who was a goodie and who was a baddies (must be getting old) so opted for good old spidey!

QuintessentialShadowOfSnowball · 15/12/2007 14:47

Thankyouthankyouthankyou You are very welcome.

I am glad you like the cardigan (etc), it is from Peru. It is better if another little boy can wear it and enjoy it, than if I hang it on the wall to simply look at it, LOL!

Have a Merry Christmas!

ThankyouThankyouThankyou · 15/12/2007 15:56

Lol Ben 10 and spiderman both big favourites with ds! I'm with you on being confused by all the ben10 characters there are so many of them, 10 I believe but dp, who watches understands Ben10, bought him a couple of toys cheap from a web site a few months ago so Spiderman was probably a wise choice!

And Quintessentialetc the cardigan is amazing! Lovely to have something so unique too.

After christmas I will try and load some pics to this profile of them playing with/wearing/chewing their presents.
