A few people have asked me how they should thank the person who sent them something - can I suggest you post on here? Namechange if you want to remain anonymous, and remember that your donor won't know your MN name anyway - so maybe give some clues (ie "thank you for the lego and the chocolate")

I received a wonderful package through the post today. I can't thank my secret santa enough! It was a box crammed full of toys and clothing and three wonderful reindeer hats! (which my dc are going to LOVE!)
Your card was lovely and signed by your dc which was so very touching, I am so thrilled and overwhelmed by your generosity.
I can now fill their stockings to the brims!
(my DD2 adores Dora...so thankyou heaps for the dora things!!)

Thankyou so very much, I really, truly am so very grateful.
You just signed your card "S", so Mnetter "S" THANKYOU I also want to say a thanks for thinking of me too! I will save the choccies until xmas
Please give your DC a big thankyou too, and I hope you all have a great xmas xx

We have all been truly spoilt this year by MN! Thankyou

I cant believe it! They are lovely clothes!

I already had recieved another parcel and wasnt expecting anything, now i have 2 lots of gifts!

Thankyou soo much - i love them!

Was a beautiful thick purple winter coat, several pairs of tights, a pair of jeans, flip flops and a swim bag all from John Lewis i think in a wiatrose carrier all packaged in brown paper and red ribbon.

Am stunned and overwhelmed.

cmotdibbler · 13/12/2007 13:04

Yorkiegirl

Glad you managed to fight your way in through all the gaffer tape . (I'd run out of parcel tape!) I hope your dds will have fun with everything!

Just wanted to say that the jigsaws say 'age 6' on them, but my dds (who are around that age) found them really easy (hence they have never been played with). So I think your dds will be able to manage them, even though they are a bit younger.

lots of love for a smile-filled Christmas

Your MN Santa

WhenScoobyGotStuckUpTheChimney · 13/12/2007 13:47

leggylil · 13/12/2007 14:11

I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Norman Family.

I got the parcel today and it brought tears to an otherwise emotional pregnant penguin it is much appreciated and hope its ok if I keep the bear for when I have baby which could be anytime within next 8 weeks (am prone to premature babies and have been warned its likely I will have early due to strep) So recieving this when have had run of bad news and hospital trips has been a blessing so once again THANK YOU

asecretsantafor2007 · 13/12/2007 14:23

YouMakeMeBlub · 13/12/2007 17:13

Am back! Since last post have received another 2 parcels!

Yesterday, a package containing a Tomy Choo Choo and a lovely book 'Buster Keeps Warm'.
It also contained a little wrapped gift for me that smells divine and some lovely Santo Domingo chocolate which takes me back to holidaying in the Carribbean long before the DCs came along!

Today, a package contaning Woolworths gift cards and 2 bags of chocs for me! Lovely! Though I don't think the chocs will last till Christmas....

All the gifts have been hidden away for Christmas day.

Thanks so, so much! x

TenLordsaLapin · 13/12/2007 17:28

I've got an idea for next year, I'll post it now because I am bound to forget. Each donor gets given a unique number, which they write on their package. Then when someone gets their package, they can come on here and say "whoo hoo, I have received something lovely from Poster 349" and it'll be easy to know if your person has had it!

What do you think?

ChristmasShinySnowflakes · 13/12/2007 17:32

and Lapin you are a clever bunny, that would make it easier to keep track!

QuintessentialShadowOfSnowball · 13/12/2007 18:44

Haychinglebells, I am glad you liked the little gift for DS1 (I got a little concerned you said thank you for both dds, as I had only been given details of something suitable for your ds2) Glad it is all sorted (I was not the donor for ds1)

shhhIchangedmynameforthisone · 13/12/2007 18:45

Lapin that is a great idea and will stop some of the confusion.

hazygirl · 13/12/2007 18:47

thanks lapin you came to my rescue once againxx

TenLordsaLapin · 13/12/2007 18:48

justaboutintimeforchristmas most people did tell me when they emailed what sort of thing they were going to send, so I did try to match things up as even-handedly as possible.
