Sorry if there’s already a thread.

I still need to:

Get a little something for my brother’s girlfriend.
Tidy bedrooms a bit
Clean bathroom
Clean kitchen including fridge
My husband still needs to wrap all of the presents
Collect a couple of food things on Christmas Eve

Hoping this thread might spark me to remember some of the things I’ve surely forgotten!

Bluntness100 · 22/12/2020 14:42

Just wrap the presents, that’s it.

TragedyHands · 22/12/2020 14:44

Clean throughout, but there are 3 of us to do it.

Dementedswan · 22/12/2020 14:45

Clean out the fridge ready for our food delivery tomorrow.

FasterthanBolt · 22/12/2020 14:46

Food shop as we're now in tier 4 so Christmas Day plans are out the window. That's it though and we'll just get what we can.

Harkhowthebells · 22/12/2020 14:48

Just clean the bathroom and wash my bedding. Also drop my mum and dads present off. Nip back to the shops just for fresh bread.

Everything else is done, presents wrapped, food shop done, most of the house cleaned.

Duggeehugs82 · 22/12/2020 14:51

I need to clean my downstairs toilet, and tidy and clean living room and kitchen
Get meat out freezer Christmas eve
Then wrap rest of my girls presents Christmas eve after getting them to sleep.
Doesnt sounds loads written down 😁

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 22/12/2020 14:52

A present arrived from family this morning for DS so I need to wrap that. Food shop arrived earlier and fridge tetris completed.

So just a quick vacuum tomorrow and give the loos a quick go over.

Duggeehugs82 · 22/12/2020 14:52

I have my parents and brothers presents all wrapped but wont be giving them, them as we are in tier 4 and they r in tier 2

Bluemooninmyeyes1 · 22/12/2020 14:53

Clean bathroom, kitchen and our bedroom and a bit of present wrapping-the end is in sight!

UndertheCedartree · 22/12/2020 14:54

Make shortbread and coconut ice for my best friend's present. Finish wrapping presents. Tidy living room. Pick up Colin from M&S tomorrow!

Thehogfatherstolemycurry · 22/12/2020 14:56

Hoover throughout the house.
Clean the stairs and landing walls, they're bizarrely dusty!
Clean the bathroom.
Post a letter tomorrow.

Think that's it.

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 22/12/2020 14:56

Tidy and clean! The house looks like a bomb site, but I've got (almost) everything wrapped. Food prep can start tomorrow, DH is making a pie so it'll be a kitchen-based day I think. So much of this Christmas has been outside my control, I just want to clean everything because that's one of the things I can actually do that's 'normal'.

PinkSpring · 22/12/2020 14:56

Clean the house, wrap up some more presents, food shop coming tomorrow and wait in for Royal Mail yet again who still haven't delivered three of items I need for Christmas presents that were posted on the 9th and 10th of December!!!

DramaAlpaca · 22/12/2020 14:57

Decorate the tree. It's up but that's as far as I've got. We usually do it late anyway.

Give the house a good once-over, including changing beds.

Last minute food shopping - DH will do that on Christmas Eve.

Wrap the presents.

I finish work at lunchtime tomorrow so it will all get done.

myhobbyisouting · 22/12/2020 14:59

Nothing apart from preparing Christmas dinner and icing the cake

lyinginthegutterstaringatstars · 22/12/2020 14:59

Nothing Xmas Grin all sorted

PatchworkElmer · 22/12/2020 15:00

Wrap DS’s presents.

Drop gifts off for my brother and best friend.

I’m not going mad tidying this year- we’ve got nobody coming round, so sod it.

SassenachWitch · 22/12/2020 15:00

I have so much to do, but I am still sitting in my dressing gown Hmm

Clean the house, do the food shop, buy gifts to replace the ones that Hermes have failed to deliver, buy more cello tape, wrap gifts, deliver gifts to family, somehow magic up matching Christmas pj’s for the family (anyone know where I can get some?) take flowers round the cemetery to my grandparents, and probably a few other things I’ve forgotten about, I’m sure it’ll all come flooding back to me at 3am.

BrieAndChilli · 22/12/2020 15:04

I’ve done the food shop, wrapped all the presents except one, given the house a good clean.

Left to do:
Wash the kids bed sheets
Pop to the shop after work tomorrow to see if I can find some satsumas plus a mini Xmas pud with no alcohol for FIL who is coming over as realised the big one does!
Wrap the remaining present that’s in the boot of my car. It’s FILs present to the kids and it’s big so didn’t want to bring it in the house yet
Make some cranberry sauce
Help DD make a gingerbread igloo (she’s 12, just need vague supervision)
Sort out the recycling as loads of boxes etc and there’s a collection on Xmas Eve.

BrieAndChilli · 22/12/2020 15:05

I did have to re-order a gift today. Had put a board game on DS1s amazon lost for family. Darrens aunt ordered it but I’d selected the German edition by mistake!! Have ordered the English one which hopefully will arrive on Xmas Eve from Amazon and will sort out with her after Xmas sending the other one back! Only realise when I got it out to wrap it up!!

Scanner20 · 22/12/2020 15:06

Give the place a clean through, make sure kitchens and bathrooms clean. Did fridge and microwave before the food shop came. Change the beds tomorrow all ready for a chilled Christmas Eve and rest of Christmas. Be back to it Boxing Day putting presents away etc and freshen up. M&S order to collect tomorrow too.

popcorndiva · 22/12/2020 15:07

Collect turkey and garnishes on Christmas Eve
Prep veg on Christmas eve
Create a card to tell parents we are having a baby. (Having a scan tomorrow so if all fine will make it after that)
Finish our Christmas wasjig

ZeldaPrincessOfHyrule · 22/12/2020 15:08

@PatchworkElmer

Wrap DS’s presents.

Drop gifts off for my brother and best friend.

I’m not going mad tidying this year- we’ve got nobody coming round, so sod it.

I think, by Christmas Eve evening when I've inevitably not tidied, I'll be saying sod it too!
1manwenttomow · 22/12/2020 15:09

Drop some gifts off with family, wrap almost everything 😦, cook my meat Christmas eve and a general clean around the house.
I'd also quite like to squeeze in an early night and a lie in and some relaxation with a film that I want rather than the kids but doubt that I'll be able to do any of those before Friday.

HopeAndDriftWood · 22/12/2020 15:09

I’ve ticked a lot off today! In-laws presents are now waiting for them along with their food shop, we’ve collected our food shop too. Got a few presents to do a socially distanced drop off for tomorrow, and then I need to wrap husbands presents at some point...

Now I’m going to celebrate being almost done by eating spare pigs in blankets with wine Grin
