Mine has to be the Pet Shop Boys - It Doesn't Often Snow at Christmas Xmas Smile

Need some more to add to my playlist!

Can I have a not-so-well-known Christmas hymn? I like brightest and best of the sons of the morning. We used to sing it at primary school. You hardly ever hear it nowadays.

Most of the album This is Christmas by Tim Wheeler (from the band Ash) and Emmy the Great.

The Killers have brought out some fantastic Christmas songs - the album is called Don't Waste Your Wishes. ‘Christmas in LA’ and ‘Joel the Lump of Coal’ are particularly good.

I like Merry Christmas from the Family, by Robert Earl Keen

I really like Tim Minchan's song White Wine in the Sun.

Tavannach · 19/12/2020 15:49

'Il est né, le divin Enfant' and, better known but I love it, 'Angels from the Realms of Glory'.

I want an alien for Christmas

Sadik · 19/12/2020 15:54

'Il est né, le divin Enfant'
That takes me right back to 1st year (old style - yr 7) French lessons. I'm not sure we 100% did it justice Xmas Grin

Somewhere in My Memory

It's actually from Home Alone, but I learnt it for choir Christmas concerts.

Mortgageandmoney · 19/12/2020 15:56

The Killers for me too, my favourite is A Great Big Sled.

A Spaceman Came Travelling

Chris de Burgh

hollyandkit · 19/12/2020 17:05

U2's version of Christmas (Baby please come home). Knocks Buble into a cocked hat!

Sadik · 19/12/2020 17:37

Oh, I'd forgotten A Spaceman Came Travelling, that's a good reminder. Lady in Red is my most hated song in the entire world, but I rather like Spaceman!

Listening to these while I do my wrapping :)

(Thoughts for all those affected by the new announcements. Maybe the only year I consider myself fortunate that most of my family are dead, it's just me, dd & my elderly dad & we're a household anyways.)

‘Never tango with an Eskimo’ is a favourite of mine.

Heard the Bob Dylan song on the radio a couple of days ago - made me chuckle.

Just been listening to Jamie Cullum’s new Christmas album. It’s gorgeous and has some lovely tracks.
