Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Are there any more argos codes floating about please or have they all expired? Just debating with myself whether to order or hold on. All my Christmas shopping seems to be from there this year oddly enough, I think they have got all the money I usually spend in smyths during their 20% off!

lexloofah · 19/11/2020 10:26

@BalaamsAss DH works from home and deals with several time zones but not your usual NY, Tokyo, Sydney that you see on multi zone clocks. I got him a custom one from Etsy which has hooks below each clock and a custom sign to hang on with the name of the location. I am afraid the seller doesn't list them anymore but you could get in touch if it is the sort of thing you are looking for, pic hopefully below

@1stTimeMama character.com have lovely onesies but not Christmassy unfortunately, so it depends what your DC like!

They do 10% off for your first order or if you can wait till Black Friday they may have a better deal (think it was 20% off last year) Smile

sorryiasked · 19/11/2020 11:05

sorryiasked · 19/11/2020 11:05

Also some nice throws etc at landsend if you search the site for "Christmas"

uniqlo · 19/11/2020 11:14

@1stTimeMama there are a couple of Christmasy onesies at lands end

Extra 10% off all toys at The Entertainer with code EXTRA10
Doesn't apply to Lego though

SpamIAm · 19/11/2020 11:24

Super Mario Lego 3 for 2 in Tesco
I'm not sure how prices compare with elsewhere but I know a few people were looking for some a while back. Picture below of what sets were available. The labels actually said 3 for 2 on selected Lego but I couldn't see any other Lego included.

Half price garage - I thought this would make a nice gift for £12.50.

Reduced Frozen 2 toys - no massive bargains but a few quid off most of them, so cheaper than the entertainer, smyths and amazon (from my quick in store googling).

@WisestIsShe Search 'busy bees' for the glasses (although ginology were also recommended at some point).

@WeAreTheWeirdosMister I think the 25% off subscribe and save is when you have 4 products on it?

buckeejit · 19/11/2020 11:29

Ugh. I'm spending all day looking for a PS5 😔. Doesn't look good so will need something else for unwrapping I reckon & quite possibly a switch lite too.

Soda stream may be in my sights by the end of the day....

TheLastStarfighter · 19/11/2020 11:34

@buckeejit are you a BT broadband customer? You might be able to get one through your My BT Account. EE had an allocation of 15,000 consoles which are now sold out, but apparently BTs allocation was separate and may still have some. I haven't tried it myself, as I got one via EE.

NB Amazon stock goes live at midday too.

May I ask what the garage please? I can't see a link or a picture of it

Does anyone use the Honey browser extension, maybe in connection with PayPal, to find the best offers available for things? Just wondering if it’s any good...

SpamIAm · 19/11/2020 11:54

@PinkDaydreams Sorry I did upload a picture but will try again! Let me know if you still can't see it and I'll try and find a link.

Changingagain · 19/11/2020 11:55

@buckeejit I've just had a latest deals notification to say that it will apparently be available to order again at midday today from Amazon

Girlonatubetrain2 · 19/11/2020 11:57

@SomethingInTheWaySheCooks i have the Honey browser extension and it works well
do not have it linked to my paypal though

bought a new FF 2 days ago with Currys, it picked up a 10% off code and i then got honey gold points too which are worth a £10 amazon voucher, result!

IggyAce · 19/11/2020 11:59

Nearly full @Reastie. Definitely moving quick this year.

I’m tempted to buy the Spode Christmas tree candy cane mugs, where is the best place for a bargain?

22Giraffes · 19/11/2020 11:59

@somethinginthewayshecooks sadly i haven't found honey very useful, it normally says I have the best deal possible. It seems to work better in the USA from what I've seen!

yafilthyanimalandahappynewyear · 19/11/2020 12:03

Okay, I appreciate this one is a bit specific but
Australia Zoo have free worldwide shipping today with a spend of more than 150 Australia dollars (about £82)
My 14 year old is crazy for the Irwins (Covid allowing I'm taking her next year) and she has a birthday in January. So I have bought her some things for her birthday and some things for Christmas. I got quite a bit for the money!

M&S has 40% off some Marks and Spencer homewear - duvets, tea towels and cookware, for instance.

woodwaj · 19/11/2020 12:12

Can someone remind me of the fossil guys Facebook page?

SomethingInTheWaySheCooks · 19/11/2020 12:13

Thanks for the Honey comments! Talking of honey I have just subscribed my in laws to Haughton’s Honey, it’s worth looking up if people are thinking of hampers or gifts. We have had a subscription for a couple of years now and it’s lovely and all English and natural. Www.haughtonhoney.com

ILikeBiscuits · 19/11/2020 12:18
