Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

999 replies

Reastie · 15/11/2020 21:49

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@startingtosmileagain your whole name appears on that link. You may want to get it deleted. There’s also a dedicated referrals thread.

TheCrow · 15/11/2020 23:41

@Sideorderofchips do you have a link for 5 for £15 please, I can only find 3 for £20

@JoanneCofton T2 do lovely English breakfast tea here It is expensive though, £6 for 25 tea bags & £5 for delivery so would be £1 over budget. Cute little cube though, so a nice gift I think

Christmasmcchristmasface · 16/11/2020 00:10

@Sideorderofchips
Trusting your expert bargain shopping skills - is IWOOT ok? I vaguely remember a problem with them in the threads a few years ago and have just avoided them - but there’s some bits I’d like to get from them

recklessgran · 16/11/2020 00:11

@TheCrow here it is;

thaegumathteth · 16/11/2020 00:18

@Christmasmcchristmasface IWOOT customer service is shocking

thaegumathteth · 16/11/2020 00:32

@startingtosmileagain just a heads up that referral links where you benefit from someone using it need to go on the referral thread which is also in the Christmas section 🎄

Puffalicious · 16/11/2020 01:06

hiredandsqueak have you tried present indicative for Maths things? Some brilliant stuff.

StarfishSleeper · 16/11/2020 01:59

Love this thread - vodaphone rewards have a free brioche baking kit, you just pay postage £2.99 and a free Random Rewards Tin of Treats when you buy any product online with The Dog House, free UK delivery with that one

Mrsfussypants1 · 16/11/2020 05:45

George Asda 20% off boots & knitwear (children/womens/mens online

IggyAce · 16/11/2020 06:05

@JoanneCofton how about these Fortnum & Mason have reduced p&p at moment.

thebrightestcoloursfillmyhead · 16/11/2020 06:15

@Delahot Sainsbury's had lots of onesies in last week. Some jersey fabric and some cosy fluffy ones. There were more in store than online but I don't know if any had cute animal prints. Might be worth a look if you've one local though. And Nectar double up is still on til tomorrow.

butmumineedit · 16/11/2020 06:25

Thank you Carrie76, have just used it , my girls will be very happy on Christmas morning now

bookish83 · 16/11/2020 06:44

asos up to 50% off 'Winter Wins' section of the website/app. Some good stocking fillers for teens or tweens, especially if you filter price low to high

Jewellery, socks etc

CupoTeap · 16/11/2020 06:49

@CoffeeAndEnnui

The pretty little gold-edged copies of A Christmas Carol (abridged) are back down to £1.99. Lovely stocking fillers!
Many thanks for this, perfect for DD

Morning, I have received last minute request for a good quality poster. Ideally, pop art theme, or quirky art or something unusual, or beautiful. Can’t explain better. I’ve checked Tate, other museums, amazon, Habitat - nothing really exactly right. Years ago, I bought some art print from an East London gallery (a cat with a shadow of a mouse) but cannot find them online any more. Can someone possibly help?

margaritasbythesea · 16/11/2020 06:52

Thank you for the snow leopard suggestions vroc81, LutherRalph1 and SpamIAm.

Thanks for the new thread Reastie.

Delahot · 16/11/2020 06:57

@thebrightestcoloursfillmyhead brilliant thank you Flowers

margaritasbythesea · 16/11/2020 07:03

Have you tried FY for prints Jacopone? I'm really happy with some woodblock bird prints I had from there for £20. They're not fine art but the site xarries alot if different designers and you xan choose size and whether or not you want a frame.
