Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Not strictly Christmas but what could I send my Mam and Dad this week to say "thank you"

Something chocolate maybe - they've both got a very sweet tooth!

They've been amazing, dh had to isolate then straight after I did. They stepped in and helped so much with school drop offs and I'm so grateful.

They're really close by but I can't get to the supermarket or anything as I'm on house arrest till next week

Budget £50

Lurleene · 18/11/2020 21:41

@Fuckingfuckssake - if they might enjoy a jigsaw this one is on offer at WHS and looks suitably festive.

thaegumathteth · 18/11/2020 21:54

Thanks for the hotel chocolat codes. I've ordered it to me from me with love! I've given up crisps and chocolate at the moment until Xmas so I think i deserve decent quality stuff by then!

whoknows1230 · 18/11/2020 22:03

Has anyone ordered from Matalan recently?
I want to buy Xmas pjs but need them here for 1st Dec and it’s saying up to 10 working days for click and collect. I was wondering if they are being cautious and people are getting things more quickly?

I bought this M&S Hamper as a gift for a friend earlier this year. It cost £50 and includes wine and a wicker basket.

@Hunnybadger1 for our generation accessories, tk maxx have rolled out items around Christmas time last few years, but usually amazon matches or beats prices so it’s best to set up a camel alert on specific items. I have had great luck getting exact replicas (even with official tags) of the clothes off aliexpress. They also do a lot of American girl clothes that fit our generation dolls. Go through the seller reviews and look for UK customers who mention fast shipping.

Meant to say -it would be the surprise present of Christmas for 10 yo DS Smile

1stTimeMama · 18/11/2020 22:53

Could I have some help please?

Firstly, the Elves bring my children pj's in their Christmas Eve box, but my son has wondered if they might bring Christmas onsies this year as they've not had them before. Has anyone seen any? I can't find any!

Secondly, the neighbours we inherited when we moved in to our new house have been wonderful to us these past months, and we'd like to get them something. They're in their mid 60's, does anyone have any suggestions?

I ordered pyjamas on Sunday and they were available to collect on Monday evening. They weren't christmas pyjamas though so I don't know whether that makes a difference.
thaegumathteth · 18/11/2020 23:04

@1stTimeMama I got dd a Xmas onesie from H@M in the older girls section but I think they had them in other sections too.

StarfishSleeper · 18/11/2020 23:04

Does anyone have a money off/free delivery code for La Redoute please?

TheCrow · 18/11/2020 23:09

@margaritasbythesea does it have to specifically be a squishmallow? I couldn't see any on eBay at all but I did see this lovely squishy guy as an alternative
