Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 15/11/2020 21:49

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets

Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks
@Lovemusic33 what about the 3D jigsaws. Most places have them. Ds3 is also 14 and autistic and has suggested he might like some for Christmas.
Thank you, I have been eyeing these up for a while, I think last year they had some in the Black Friday sales? She loves cars and I think they do a few sports car ones and a campervan? She loves puzzles x

Right, Hotel Chocolat worked when I added MERRY20 plus STSMHCXMAS, then the FREEDEL30, so if anyone else needs a work-around, that should do it.

This is perfect for extended family, thanks so much.

Daisy829 · 18/11/2020 16:15

The hotel Chocolat is only coming down to £45 for me even with the 3 codes. It says merry20 isn’t working. Shame.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 18/11/2020 16:17

I put in MERRY20 and then FREEDEL30 and it came down to £35. The other code didn’t work for me

aw93 · 18/11/2020 16:19

I sent a message about the magazine gift card and was told it should arrive by the end of next week at the latest.

Daisy829 · 18/11/2020 16:19

Oh hang on I was trying the wrong box! Didn’t notice there were 2 types 🙄

HawkinsLab · 18/11/2020 16:50

Glad the Hotel Chocolat code was useful to some and apologies it wasn’t straightforward! It only worked on one box for me, when I added two boxes it only took one down to £35 and the other was full price. I thought they could be great to break up for presents too Smile

ArthurChristmas2 · 18/11/2020 16:52

@bealola have you seen photo blankets? They certainly weren’t round when mine were little but I’ve recently bought one for a new addition. They allow you to take photos of baby in a timeline to record the age! Quite cute and a bit different.

Scanner20 · 18/11/2020 16:56

Would anyone know if the our generation site do Black Friday deals?

Anydreamwilldo12 · 18/11/2020 16:57

Think I remember pps talking about Godiva chocolate in a previous thread.
Herons have boxes of Godiva masterpiece biscuits 118grams for £1. Two different flavours. Hazelnut oyster and ganache heart.Be great for hampers.

Tiredmummyof3 · 18/11/2020 16:57

Thanks for the hotel Chocolat code - great deal even if I haven't decided what I'm doing with it yet!!

Has anyone seen the Radio Times deal out yet?! I usually get it from these threads 6 mags for £1 and it always includes the Christmas one! Hoping I haven't missed it - these threads go sooo fast!!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 18/11/2020 16:57

@lolarabbit, I had my drinks hamper with the clementine gin refunded last night after a really frustrating and unhelpful phone call, I had already received the rhubarb hamper and been assured the other was in transit (for about a fortnightHmm, quite the schlep).

The customer service agent behaved as though she was searching for the items individually and then said "To be honest I've already refunded you so I won't be sending any replacements or giving you any further compensation", which was super odd.

They are, supposedly, investigating with a view to giving me a small voucher (after I kicked up a polite stink because I could have bought the flipping gin while it was actually available if someone had told me sooner) but I'm not holding my breath.

It worked for me by doing separate orders and not going in with an account but as a guest. Got several sent around the country now. Thank you, you wonderfully helpful soul!
SlipASomethingUnderThe · 18/11/2020 17:08

Does anyone have a superdrug student discount code they could PM me please?
If anyone needs a blue light discount code for anywhere I can get one. Thanks.

sorryiasked · 18/11/2020 17:11

@BalaamsAss there are lots on etsy if you search world time zone clocks.

JoanneCofton · 18/11/2020 17:14

@SlipASomethingUnderThe I’ve checked UNiDAYS and student beans for a code and neither of them do student discount online for Superdrug, only in store. They’ve definitely done it before online because I used it but there’s no option for a code, just brings up my student ID to show in store

MoonPomme · 18/11/2020 17:21

Is anyone else still waiting for delivery from the typo 70% sale?
I got an email to say it would be delivered last friday but its still not arrived.

22Giraffes · 18/11/2020 17:26

@nothingcomestonothing thanks that was me looking for Enola Holmes, another poster found them for me but thanks for remembering Smile

Do you clever lot have any ideas to get a discount on playmobil? I've seen the 15% welcome offer and 20% birthday club on the playmobil site but sadly they are charging more for the sets I want than Argos/Amazon/Smyths so any discount would only take it in line with the "standard" price!

mummabear74 · 18/11/2020 17:32

@lolarabbit I had problems with an M&S order that I paid for named day delivery and they split the order and delivered over two separate days - none of which were on the named day. I was at work and they took the parcels back to the post office. I then had to pay Royal Mail for the items to be delivered to my local post office.

Twistcurl · 18/11/2020 17:32

For any high end beauty gifts Space NK have 20% off the brands on Caroline Hiron’s wishlist with the code WISHLIST here. I have also just put a link on the referral thread for £10 off a £40 spend.

PinkJam · 18/11/2020 17:41

@CoffeeAndEnnui Doesn’t seem a good attitude from M&S “Customer services”!

SlipASomethingUnderThe · 18/11/2020 17:43

Thanks for looking @JoanneCofton Smile

Dreamqueen · 18/11/2020 17:46

Thank you for the Hotel Chocolat code. Just bought it for DS & Dil. xx

suneetime · 18/11/2020 17:59

@Tiredmummyof3 I tried to order Radio Times for £1 last week but got an email from them to say I’d already benefited from it in the past so couldn’t do it again. Odd as I’ve been doing it for years Grin It was buysubscriptions but I can’t see it on there now.

Theonlyoneiknow · 18/11/2020 18:06

Don't forget 8% cashback on Hotel Chocolat via Quidco :)
