Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 15/11/2020 21:49

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Does anyone know if Abercrombie & Fitch ever do discount codes?

BalaamsAss · 17/11/2020 19:53

@0ttoline I second the suggestion of Perfect Petzzz

They’re not so much a toy as a freaky, life-like, breathing thing! My DDs have the dog versions and they adore them, as do their friends. They’ve had them 2 years and we’ve only had to change the batteries twice on each of them - last time was just a few weeks ago. They don’t move, but they do “breathe” and the body goes slightly up and down with the breaths. I find them incredibly freaky and weird, but DDs love them

Carrie76 · 17/11/2020 19:56

@Chocolateteabag our soda stream came from Argos a few years ago

aimslou · 17/11/2020 19:59

This seems a good offer on Amazon

Second the suggestion of a tuppence and crumble wrap. Adorable. I'd almost consider having another baby just to buy one.
Or a Sophie?

Free festive handcare duo with £15 spend at L'Occitane (worth £7) with code GIFT70CQA. It's one time use from O2 so please post if you do use it.

I think I saw a bit earlier on the thread about stocking fillers on ASOS I can't seem to find it now if anyone could point me in the right direction?

mummyof2boys30 · 17/11/2020 20:06

Hophop26 · 17/11/2020 20:09

@sugarplumfairy2010 Sainsbury’s and Asda often having spiced rum miniatures, Kraken etc I think there’s also a set of different spiced rums coming up on special buy at either Lidl or Aldi?

Puffalicious · 17/11/2020 20:15

Bealola TKMaxx always have gorgeous muslin cloths. I saw some Arden and Anaos ones the other day (Scotland so we're open) so check the website.

Puffalicious · 17/11/2020 20:17

nocutsnobutts I know they have a sloth Oodie this year. I ordered one for DS (who is an absolute sloth) but that was weeks ago and not sure if available before xmas now.

Gothic/ horror books?

mytortoisemind · 17/11/2020 20:23

@weebarra We have the big Anna from Frozen styling head, would not recommend! The hair tangles instantly and the accessories are flimsy. It was the one my DD wanted and she used her own money (and does play with it) but it definitely was not worth £29:99 😬

weebarra · 17/11/2020 20:25

Thank you so much for your head advice! We had one before, DD is 7. It was rubbish so I got rid of it and she's never forgiven me!

Notlongnow1 · 17/11/2020 20:35

@bealola

I loved giant muslins when babies were tiny but both summer born - not sure they would get as much use in winter. My go to is a Close pop-in playmat, depending on budget. Loads of beautiful designs but cheapest i can see is the parrot one here If you find something for a couple of pound will be free postage too. One thing I wished I had bought sooner and will be used for years to come as a picnic blanket etc too. Ignore the one bizarre review incidently - the poppers are on the pic, part of the appeal and not remotely sharp lol

Rubyroo73 · 17/11/2020 20:43

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts
I’ve got my 12 year old Dd a v cute sloth onesie, fluffy socks and hot water bottle from New Look plus a sloth oodie!

bettyskitchen · 17/11/2020 20:51

bookish83 · 17/11/2020 20:56

@steph2412

I think I saw a bit earlier on the thread about stocking fillers on ASOS I can't seem to find it now if anyone could point me in the right direction?
I think it was me! Asos had an up to 50% offer on some items.but now it has gone from their home page

If you filter beauty or gifts by price you might still see some bargains. They also do regular 20% offs and definitely do on black friday

mytortoisemind · 17/11/2020 20:58

Asda have their Black Friday sale started online with some Lego including Hogwarts clock tower and Barbie (plane and food truck) included.

CeeceeBloomingdale · 17/11/2020 21:00

Thanks @ArnoldJRimmer, just put through a Boohoo order I didn't know I needed with your code!

NoWordForFluffy · 17/11/2020 21:03

The Entertainer has £5 off £25 using 5OFF25.
