Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 15/11/2020 21:49

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Many thanks for the diary recommendations I’ve gone with box cleverpress

Gurufloof · 16/11/2020 21:50

@TheCrow

I'm fairly sure most have colour options
Like this one

Says in 16 colours.

Notlongnow1 · 16/11/2020 21:51

Has anyone seen a bargainous realistic looking dragon soft toy?! Love the Hansa and Melissa and Doug ones but they are £££

Gurufloof · 16/11/2020 21:51

And I scrolled down a bit and lo
Tshirts by colour, including pink.

TheCrow · 16/11/2020 21:53

@Gurufloof they all have the same colour options but there's no option for pink which I find a bit odd 😕 they all seem to be more 'masculine' colours

The laststarfighter I feel the same- Typo order arrived and really impressed with the quality, I wish I'd ordered more!

Thanks for everyone who linked the Switch order- got one and a few games. Result!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 16/11/2020 21:55

@SilkieAndMoonface have you tried Friendly Soap for vegan toiletries? Very reasonable prices and they often have a Black Friday offer too Smile

TheCrow · 16/11/2020 21:56

@Gurufloof Ahh you're a star! You can't select it as an option on the item page but if you filter by colour they magically appear 🙂 thank you!

CoffeeAndEnnui · 16/11/2020 22:05

@Puffalicious, can I please ask when your Switch is due to arrive? We've 'bought one' but had to put it in with our weekly shopping as there are no delivery or collection slots available here at all. And, as Sod's Law would have it, we already had our weekly shop delivered today so it's not coming until next week. Bit concerned it will fall out of my basket by then even though I've technically checked it outSad

Bananadoor · 16/11/2020 22:10

Can anyone please give advice on the Karcher window vac (or similar). I need something to clear the condensation from our windows in the morning, would this work? Any recommendations on the different versions?
We usually have the windows open all year round, however we have a new baby in the house so have to keep it warmer than normal!

thelegohooverer · 16/11/2020 22:13

@Trumpton dolly leggings from old socks is genius!

PinkDaydreams · 16/11/2020 22:15

@Bananadoor I've been considering a window vac for the exact same problem but have instead gone for a meaco dehumidifier which I am very happy with. House feels alot warmer, no condensation at all and the house feels alot more comfortable now too. Could a dehumidifier be an option for you?

@thelegohooverer

Thank you . I was very impressed with myself !

Puffalicious · 16/11/2020 22:18

uniqlo thanks for the slippers link, they look just what I'm looking for. Have sent DH the link and heavy hints!

Puffalicious · 16/11/2020 22:22

CoffeeandEnnui I'm concerned too. Asda refused the order and my bank flagged it via text. I think it was because my chosen click and collect slot was gone by the time I checked out. I panicked thinking they were sold out, but they've let me reorder for delivery late tomorrow night. We'll see!

fogginghell · 16/11/2020 22:24

Just a quick question - how do you use the qvc referral when ordering on the qvc website ? I followed someone's referral link the other day and now have no idea how to redeem it.

Fueledwithfairydustandgin · 16/11/2020 22:25

If anyone has a spare boden voucher I would be very grateful. DSs growth spurt and clothing new baby is proving to be rather expensive

CoffeeAndEnnui · 16/11/2020 22:29

We got a flag too, hmmm, maybe I'll search late tonight to see if any slots open up. There's nothing for weeks as far as I can see. Best of luck with your order, hope all will be well.

@PinkDaydreams we do have a cheap dehumidifier where we hang the washing (sadly no room for a tumble dryer), which just keeps on top of it in that room. I would invest in a bigger one but we don't have much space and we're looking to move next year.

Chocolateteabag · 16/11/2020 22:42

@Lellyo my Aldi milk frother has been used at least twice daily since March 23rd - it's simple to use and clean - Definitely worth it for £20!
