Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

999 replies

Reastie · 15/11/2020 21:49

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

Can anyone recommend a nice diary? SIL is looking for an A5 one with a full page for each day, if such a thing exists.

DinosaurOfFire · 16/11/2020 20:54

@WisestIsShe If coffee passes, may I have the 25% off?

Disney store has 20% off a £50 spend at the moment on all full price items, not sure if it works on already reduced items.

DinosaurOfFire · 16/11/2020 20:55

@Carrie76 Moleskine do nice day-to-a-page diaries and Amazon often have them reduced. Waterstones also do them and have their points card so while not a bargain, the points do add up quite quickly

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 16/11/2020 20:56

Just had a reply from Rocket and Rose as I need to update my address, apparently the last of the Fiver Friday t shirts are being posted on Friday

thisisexhausting · 16/11/2020 21:01

Just got this lovely baking set from Costco, it comes with a ceramic bowl, a lovely spatula, and bakedin mixes, cake mixes for £21

@BalaamsAss

Anyone have any experience of Redbubble? I want to get a cushion from them but wary of it being poor quality or of their customer service being crap. Also - IF they are worth ordering from, are there any discounts floating around?
I ordered a face mask from Red bubble recently which was pretty poor quality and looked nothing at all like the picture on the website. However, the customer service was the best I've ever received. I emailed to request a refund and within an hour they'd replied and refunded me and told me I didn't need to return the product. So I think it's pretty risk free to order from them.
CoffeeAndEnnui · 16/11/2020 21:04

@WisestIsShe, that's a really kind offer and I appreciate it but I will leave that code for someone who is getting a bigger ticket item to benefit from. (After a 5-minute tussle with my willpower and a quick mooch around all the lovely tempting things on the site!)

Tigger83 · 16/11/2020 21:08

Does anyone know if procook do a Black Friday offer? Waiting to buy knives still!!

WisestIsShe · 16/11/2020 21:10

@DinosaurOfFire have pmd you.

RaggieDolls · 16/11/2020 21:13

@Duckyneedsaclean, what a bargain. I've just paid £279.99 at John Lewis. Have filled out the price match form so really hope they will honour that.

sorryiasked · 16/11/2020 21:16

@SilkieAndMoonface have a look at hanabi - coop card game.

Foggyday124 · 16/11/2020 21:23

Bearbehind thank you so much!

SilkieAndMoonface · 16/11/2020 21:26

@Mrsmadevans those links go to trainers and the home page? Could you please tell me what they were supposed to be?

@Luxplus thanks, I hadn't heard of them, I'll have a browse.

@Sorryiasked thanks, I'll look at it.

The4ks · 16/11/2020 21:26

Silkie, for your sister have a look at the Somerset toiletry company. Was recommended on a thread a good while back.

Have quite a few vegan and plastic free options.

DinosaurOfFire · 16/11/2020 21:35

@WisestIsShe Thank you so much!

@BELLAARA Frugi have done Black Friday deals in the past, either money off certain ranges- one year it was tops one day, trousers the next for example- or a % off for the day/ weekend. I'm hoping they do a similar offer this year as well.

@carrie76 I was looking at A5 diaries in Sainsbury’s just before , they had a page for each day, they where £8
Mrsmadevans · 16/11/2020 21:38

ALSO
ecovibe.co.uk/collections/shampoo/products/plastic-free-vegan-shampoo-500ml
10% off first order too but have to pay P& P
Hope these work properly Smile

IggyAce · 16/11/2020 21:38

@Carrie76 I recommend box cleverpress for a diary they have some lovely ones lots of space for notes and such. I buy my teacher friend the academic one for her birthday each year. I get it from Amazon.

Ive used redbubble for years now. Most recently for masks. If you sign up to emails you get offers. My oldest tshirts are about 7 years old now and through lockdown i wore the same 4 or so on rotation. Love their stuff.

JPduck · 16/11/2020 21:44

@BELLAARA

Hello all,

Can anyone tell me if Frugi do any sort of Black Friday deals? I've a few things to order but don't want to steam ahead if there's a discount, likely. TVM

I wish! They haven't in the past, doubtful due to their delayed stick but then you never know
RJnomore1 · 16/11/2020 21:44

So remember there was craft beer deals a few threads back? Are there any still on the go? I’d like to send dd1s boyfriend some.

JPduck · 16/11/2020 21:44

Stock not stick!

TheCrow · 16/11/2020 21:47

Jumping on the redbubble topics since so many people have ordered- for the t-shirts is there a set amount of colours or does each seller choose it? I've seen loads of t-shirts I like but none of them have any 'girly' colours as an option. Is there something I'm missing? I really want a pink or lilac shirt 😂
