Thread 20 - the one with the reminder to put the bargain info *in bold*

Reastie · 15/11/2020 21:49

please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

Hi does anyone have any experience of the Aldi milk frother or should I wait and hope the Lavazza one is reduced on BF?

Fuckingfuckssake · 16/11/2020 19:34

@EvilHerbivore

Does anyone have a spare vodaphone brioche code that they could pm me at all please?

There's a separate thread for Vodafone codes, lots of people posting them on there.

Vodafone codes www.mumsnet.com/Talk/Christmas/4078231-Vodafone-codes

Fuckingfuckssake · 16/11/2020 19:35

Also thank you for the Boden codes earlier, after all that I ordeal dress from H&M!!

HoHoHolyMackerel · 16/11/2020 19:36

@thaegumathteth no worries I've took a screen shot of the ones you want. It's all lost on me, my boys are too young, but no doubt in a couple of years I will also be begging for a stuff toy carrot 😂

lolarabbit · 16/11/2020 19:37

@BalaamsAss - only ever bought T shirts from Red Bubble but I did have to use their customer services due to a size discrepancy. They just got me to send a photo of the problem, refunded the money and told me to keep the T shirt (which I then gifted to someone smaller Grin)

steph2412 · 16/11/2020 19:39

@BalaamsAss I ordered a throw from red bubble and the quality was excellent, print was good and it was delivered quite quickly. I have only ordered that one item but I was impressed!

Kittywampus · 16/11/2020 19:43

I haven't tried the potentially rancid banana bread baking kit yet, now I am thinking about sieving the banana chips out and making it without them.

I have ordered from redbubble before. The down side is that postage is expensive, and the women's sizing is bizarre - make sure you look at the size guide. Their customer service is great though and they sent me a different size for free and let me keep the old tshirt.

thaegumathteth · 16/11/2020 19:45

@Bearbehind
It's an exclusive that you can but the new ones as a family. The individuals will be available in store.

Thanks everyone re offers of posting - let me know how you get on . Really appreciate your thoughts.

@BalaamsAss

Anyone have any experience of Redbubble? I want to get a cushion from them but wary of it being poor quality or of their customer service being crap. Also - IF they are worth ordering from, are there any discounts floating around?
Have used Redbubble a few times and always been really pleased with quality. BUT check where your order is coming from, some of the artists are in the US which means shipping can take and age and be ££ they do discount codes - sometimes site wide but more often for certain categories of products. I also think you can get 15% off buying through the app
Mybedislisting · 16/11/2020 19:53

@Lellyo I’ve got the Aldi frother - had it for two years and v impressed makes a great cappuccino

@mybedislisting thanks for this... I am looking for 2 of them, one each for my niece and nephew so think it will mainly be used for hot choccies .

CoffeeAndEnnui · 16/11/2020 20:02

Are there any Disney codes about at the moment? I was pretty much done until my dd revealed at bedtime that she's going to ask Father Christmas for a Baby 'Yoda' plush...on Christmas Eve...as a surpriseConfused

Thewinterofdiscontent · 16/11/2020 20:07

Thank you for the I Want One of Those heads up. I was looking for 5 gifts for a club I help with - got 5 mini phone chargers for £15 ! Perfect with a selection box.

BalaamsAss · 16/11/2020 20:09

Thanks for all the info on Redbubble. It’s a cushion I want, not clothes, so sizing isn’t an issue. A lovely mnetter PM’d me a 15% off discount code, but it wouldn’t go through because it said the coupon wasn’t valid to my location, even though the discount wasn’t on the delivery charge. 🤷🏼‍♀️

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 16/11/2020 20:10

I have a £10 off £30 Boden code if anyone wants it. Expires 21/11

I've just brought a notebook from there, the print was very reasonable, and it arrived well packaged and quickly. There was a up to 60% off code on the site when I ordered, which was just as well as the p&p was pretty steep and the notebook itself was over priced (but the only place that it was available!)
SilkieAndMoonface · 16/11/2020 20:17

Baker Ross are doing free delivery over £29, ends tonight, with code FREEDEL3 if anyone's after craft stuff.

EMP (merch clothes) have £20 off a min spend of £80 with code SAVE.

Elemis are offering a free full sized facial oil when you spend £80 with code GLOWUP (ends 9am tomorrow).

Hoping to tap into the collective wisdom on the thread...

I'm looking for a board game for my 9 year old. He's a very experienced board-gamer. Current favourites are Pandemic and the Forbidden series. I'd like to get another co-operative game, but something pretty short would be good - he often plays between home ed 'lessons' during the day with his brother so half an hour ish would be best.

I also need eco friendly vegan toiletries for my sister. I've already bought these and a good quality vegan bar of soap but can anyone recommend other toiletries or similar along the vegan plastic-free eco theme?

I also need something for a friend who has had a tough year. We usually socialise as families, so best if it is something I can include her DH in. I would like to get consumables, but her DH is lactose intolerant so most of the sweet stuff I would have gone for is out. She's not at all into pampering, they're both big into cycling but surely have all the gear, they love animals, both have a sweet tooth.

WisestIsShe · 16/11/2020 20:19

@coffeeandennui I've got a single use 25% off but there's a £50 minimum spend. Hopefully baby Yoda isn't that much? Let me know if you want it.

pmac62 · 16/11/2020 20:27

I know a few people are looking out for gaming or perhaps Kawii style T shirts ot items? I would suggest Genki gear or gametee gear.

Luxplus · 16/11/2020 20:35

@SilkieAndMoonface what about ecooking? I have several products from them and all really lovely.

PinkJam · 16/11/2020 20:41

@Carrie76 Sorry, the Fatface code was sent to someone this morning. Will send to you if I get another.

SuperPixie247 · 16/11/2020 20:43

Good evening!

Does anyone have an Argos code please? Smile

BELLAARA · 16/11/2020 20:51

Hello all,

Can anyone tell me if Frugi do any sort of Black Friday deals? I've a few things to order but don't want to steam ahead if there's a discount, likely. TVM

whoknows1230 · 16/11/2020 20:53

Thank you for tip about Betty's - I'd found something for my neighbours but the P+P put me off ordering it.

Does anyone think the Echo dots will be on offer for Black Friday or did I miss this year's boat on Prime Day?

BalaamsAss · 16/11/2020 20:53

Man do I want those Godiva advent calendars. I don’t even know if I like Godiva chocolate though and I only need 1 calendar now as the rest have been bought - I certainly don’t need 2!
