please post any bargain info IN BOLD to make it easier to scroll through the thread.

To make things bold you:
Put a star each side of what you want to make bold like this but without the space between the star and the writing *

Just a reminder you can watch the thread by clicking on ‘watch this thread’ at the top of the first message. It’s much easier for everyone than so many place marking every time which can use up a fair chunk of each thread to scroll through Thanks

Here’s Barbarara’s instructions from last year on doing clicky links:

Open double square brackets
No space
Paste link
Space
Name of link
No space
Close double square brackets

Like this
[[www.amazingbargains.com bargain ]] but with no space after/before the brackets.
If I do it again without the extra spaces only the word bargain will appear in blue

For more links etc see message 2

If any link doesn’t work or you want to add something please let me know by @ing me Thanks

@slithytoveisascientist When we bought our phones a few years ago it was cheaper to buy on contract, so we did that and then paid off the device element the next day. Don't know if that would be an option with the watch?

Can anyone recommend any not too expensive mermaids tails to swim in (child)? I am going to buy a monofin from Mermaids UK mermaidsswimuk.co.uk 2020 for 20% off but the tail I want is out of stock and I rather balk at paying £40 for a tail. Ebay have lots from China but has anyone tried one?

2Christmassybyhalf · 14/11/2020 10:18

Claratheimpossiblegirl thanks for the Black Friday tip for character.com

For anyone after family pyjamas Next do quite a few, and as a result I have searched eBay for 'Next pyjamas' and found all the sizes I want second hand in the same design.

4Minions2CallMyOwn · 14/11/2020 10:20

Good morning. Does anyone have an Argos code for a £30 spend please? I keep seeing them and trying but being too late. Would be amazing if anyone has one spare? Thank you

Beaglemum93 · 14/11/2020 10:22

@IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts

Has anyone found a sellotape alternative that works on the brown Kraft paper? My wrapping has been coming undone 😩
Thanks for the heads up! Little did I know when I bought the bargain roll of paper that I might need specialist tape - wouldn't like to have discovered that on Christmas Eve!
PinkDaydreams · 14/11/2020 10:35

Someone was after push along Thomas trains to go on a brio track, not sure of these from home bargains are any good? I'd be interested myself if these go on wooden tracks?

slithytoveisascientist · 14/11/2020 10:46

@SpamIAm thank you, but I’m tied into a ee contract. I thought the code would be for the Apple store x

Madvixen · 14/11/2020 10:48

@Newnamedillydally I can heartily recommend www.2poundstreet.com/ All British cheeses and plenty of wines too :-)

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 14/11/2020 10:50

Thank you @bookish83 and @LittleSquirrels! I quite like the Christmas patterns on the Babipur tape, but the plain tape might look better with the plain packaging- both good options! Thanks

Newnamedillydally · 14/11/2020 10:53

Thanks for all the cheese recommendations going to have a look through, although I will probably end up treating myself too!

IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts · 14/11/2020 10:55

@starlingsintheslipstream yes, I'm glad I had to wrap some early (to post with Nov birthday presents)! Also discovered I've misplaced all my gift tags so have to buy some more!

Some of the tape stuck, but I'm not sure it would hold until December where there isn't ribbon holding it down.

On the bright side, the brown paper looks lovely with some nice ribbon! 🎁🎄🎅🏻

Yeknom · 14/11/2020 11:00

@PinkDaydreams it was me 👋🏻! Thank you! They are so cheap! After all the lovely links and tips from yesterday, I looked into it and yes they do fit but I've decided against them as I think he'd get too angry and frustrated as trying to join them together (he gets mad enough when there's a derailment!). So I'm going to stick to the hunt for the wooden ones with the magnets on the front...however because they are so cheap I might see if I can grab a couple just to play with for out and about Grin

Where was the gluten-free baking stuff from? I’ve scrolled back but can’t figure it out. DH is gluten-free and here’s must substitutes (says they taste like gravel) so worth a try of something that at least some people are saying they like. And is the gluten-free one the same as the one with the dodgy batch??

BeaLola · 14/11/2020 11:15

Thedarknightsaredrawingin apologies but have missed a few of the pages but are you the lady who with her friends are buying gifts for your friend ? What about the White Company electronic diffuserif she would have time to use it going forward - witha discount code i could come under budget....

RagamuffinCat · 14/11/2020 11:16

Mine was from a dodgy batch but was fine. I agree that a lot of GF food is pretty horrible, but these aren't at all. My Dad just ate two and he can eat gluten so they must be nice!

RJnomore1 · 14/11/2020 11:18

Were people looking for fortnum and masons deals?

Not a brilliant bargain but they’ve reduced postage to £3.95 from £6.95 for orders delivered between 21 november and 6 January. Only thing I’ve ever seen!

Puffalicious · 14/11/2020 11:28

carrie76 jacophone my DH loves these- he's now on his 2nd pair best man slippers They also do them at Amazon.

It is this site. There was a bundle offer but can't see any deals at the moment. I did see them for £2.99 each in our Tesco the other day though so may be worth a look if you wanted to try.

Is that on anything? I got the impression it was only hampers?
