Do you ‘wrap as you buy’ or ‘wrap it all in one go on Xmas Eve’?

I usually wrap presents over a few days in December but this year I don’t seem to have much space to gently store wrapped presents without ripping paper. I have always thought leaving it until Xmas Eve is crazy but I’m considering doing it this year.

So when do you wrap?

Is it possible to do it all in one night, going on the fact my kids are teens and won’t be in bed early 🤔

As I buy. Mainly to stop the DC seeing the present should they find it.

I try to wrap them in December, I don't have as many now as my kids have grown up. One memorable year we finally finished wrapping after 1am and DD woke up at 4am.

Too many times I have ended up doing it all on CE and it taking until past midnight only to be ripped apart 4 hours later 😁 not this year I have PROMISED myself no wrapping after the 22nd it all has to be bought and wrapped by then! Not started yet at all, probably start purchasing mid December as have to move house before then Sad

I usually wrap over a couple of nights in early December, I don't like doing it Christmas Eve as I like chill when our children are in bed and watch a film or 2.

Are we weird? Family presents get wrapped and then put under the tree as they're done, normally over the last few weeks of christmas, so theres a gorgeous pile of exciting presents during the month. Stocking presies normally Christmas eve after child in bed with glass of vino!

Normally xmas eve but determined to do it as I go this year!

I start wrapping once the tree is up, DDs presents go straight into her sack next to the tree and presents for other people go under the tree. As we receive presents they go under the tree or in DDs sack.

The exceptions are DDs stocking presents which are wrapped and kept in a bag in the back of my wardrobe until Christmas Eve when her stocking is filled, she's almost an adult but I don't care. The dog and cat have stockings which are also filled and put out on Christmas Eve otherwise the smells cause too much excitement.

I like it all out of the way so Christmas Eve is as relaxed as possible and present under the tree are decorative.
