I'm struggling, more because this year has frazzled my brain than because there aren't things I would love....

What are you putting on your list?

Liqueur chocolates
Emma Bridgewater
Chilli's bottle
Hercule Poirots Christmas
F&M Hamper (present from me to me)

Dinosauratemydaffodils · 19/10/2020 20:24

Books (and childfree time to read them)
A good Thermos for cold wet days in the park/walks/camping

LadyCatStark · 19/10/2020 20:31

IDontMindMarmite · 19/10/2020 20:40

A belt
Noise cancelling wireless headphones
A couple of books
A jumper

SuperFairy · 19/10/2020 20:52

Probably not most peoples idea of a great present but I’ve asked for an illuminated globe. It will go in my office as my desk lamp and I can sit at my desk spinning it all day whilst planning where to go to when the current situation is over!

It will also help for those pesky geography questions on Pointless 😂

PracticingPerson · 19/10/2020 21:01

  • a new board game
  • usual nice food

That's as far as I've got Grin

micc · 19/10/2020 21:07

I've written down, 2 books, there is this local clothes shop that makes all their clothes there and I would love another jumper, a pair of earrings from argos... and I was thinking of asking my partner to go and choose me a perfume.. I dont really wear any and I want him to choose one for me Haha could go either way!!

runwithme · 19/10/2020 21:08

The Ordinary skincare products
Some lovely long sleeved fingerless mittens
Warm socks
Tikiboo running leggings
Running gloves

TeddyIsaHe · 19/10/2020 21:09

Skincare (Strivectin, Kate Somerville and Glow Recipe in particular!)
A duvet set
Slippers
Scented candles.

As long as I can sleep well and I have nice moisturisers I’m happy.

lauryloo · 19/10/2020 21:10

I'd like some earbuds. Although no idea when I'd get peace to wear them.

SuperFairy · 19/10/2020 21:13

One of my most used presents from last year was wireless headphones, only cheapo ones but they are brilliant for me watching (knitting) 😂 videos online and listening to my audible books whilst not disturbing DH.

Baileyscoffeeandcampfires · 19/10/2020 21:16

Weighted blanket

Furry duvet cover for weighted blanket

Tony's chocolony salted caramel bars

New spin shoes

Yoga socks with the individual toes

Dh commitment to help me replace the rotting decking in back garden in the spring

I desperately want a weekend in Paris.

Bleeding COVID!

(I can hear DS now thinking 'It's not just about the holidays, mum')

SnowHare · 19/10/2020 21:19

But if I cannot have that then - I do not know.

Last year I got a lovely picnic hamper rucksack kind of thing.

Ginnotgym · 19/10/2020 21:21

Some gorgeous ideas here guys!

I want a trip to Paris too! 😂

To be able to see my family, but that's not going to happen in the tier we are in.

Gifts are irrelevant really. Sorry for the down hearted post.

Oh love 😔 I hope you didn't find my post unnecessarily superficial. This has been the hardest year, hasn't it. I'm now using Christmas prep as a distraction... I hope you get to see your family soon x

I won't be asking for anything. My parents are dead, fairly newly divorced. One child still at school but he always buys me a token gift. My eldest child who is a working adult, buys me nothing.

Used to this now and it doesn't bother me much

Zeebeezee · 19/10/2020 21:51

Ginnotgym

Sorry, it is not your issue at all, I hope you didn't take offence, and I don't think you did.

It's about people not things now. All the best to you and thanks for your response. x

mumwon · 19/10/2020 21:51

another blessed watch (unless I find it I suspect its gone through the washing machine the second I have done this to.) not expensive just simple - maybe waterproof for washing machines

thistimelastweek · 19/10/2020 21:54

A jumper.
I like jumpers.

SundayReilly · 19/10/2020 21:56

Books
Meg and Bee rainbow strap
Chocolate
Gin
Perfume
Couple of nice prints for my gallery wall
Smelly stuff soaps

This is sad, please get yourself a load of lovely presents, wrapped and everything. You deserve it, celebrate yourself. (and even though mums usually don't do this, please just give a card to your eldest, might get a message through).

Protected Species waterproof coat - I’m planning on doing a lot of walking next year with our new baby.

Elemis skincare
Molton Brown bath oil and shower gel
Hotel Chocolat chocolates
New electric toothbrush
Cosy loungewear/new pjs

Basically stuff that will hopefully make me feel borderline human & comforted while trying to get to grips with being a FTM!

babbi · 19/10/2020 22:21

@LesLavandes
I’d like to send you a little something - just a small card and item to say “ I care “ ...

If that doesn’t offend you PM me your address and I’ll delete it as soon as I’ve posted to you ..
