Anyone with a velvetiser, how do you store the chocolate sachets? The boxes are getting out of control and taking up loads of room.

To be honest, I usually use Options chocolate in mine. It is a lot cheaper and lower calorie. I pop in a little milk and fill the rest with water, yum!! I I bought the HC sachets regularly I would probably just pop them in a decent size plastic tub with a lid

ScottishDream · 17/10/2020 18:29

I buy tins of Charbonel hot chocolate flakes and use that.

OublietteBravo · 17/10/2020 18:31

How many boxes do you have?!

Ours just live in the deep kitchen drawer underneath the velvetiser (in their boxes).

picklemewalnuts · 17/10/2020 18:36

Is the velvetiser a wonderful thing then? Does it make options taste nicer?

picklemewalnuts · 17/10/2020 18:38

Over £100?!

Nanasueathome · 17/10/2020 18:41

It’s on offer on QVC today

Fridgeandkitchen · 17/10/2020 19:10

Good deal on QVC for it today.

supadupapupascupa · 17/10/2020 19:28

I bought one yesterday. HC was too rich for daughter but I loved it. This morning i made milk and poured in some dissolved coffee, was yum!

picklemewalnuts · 17/10/2020 21:23

Christmas present idea for DS1, thank you! not the expensive one, but a cheaper alternative.

OnceUponAThread · 17/10/2020 21:58

Brilliant Christmas present idea for OH. And the QVC deal is ace.

RebeccaCloud9 · 17/10/2020 22:01

How is it better than a microwave?

OublietteBravo · 17/10/2020 22:03

It stirs and heats and doesn’t beep at you or smell of reheated curry

chocciholic · 17/10/2020 22:14

I got a couple of the hotel chocolat tubs and now I use lids of them to hold the sachets

chocciholic · 17/10/2020 22:15

(It makes beautiful hot chocolate)

supadupapupascupa · 17/10/2020 23:42

It's essentially a very good looking milk frother. I love mine

EnjoyingTheSilence · 17/10/2020 23:54

I love ours. Try putting a glug of the chocolate cream liqueur in it. Yum

GazingAndGrazing · 18/10/2020 12:43

Waiting for mine to arrive from the QVC deal. Watched this thread for international chocolate ideas ie lower calories.

CeibaTree · 18/10/2020 22:24

How much was it on the QVC deal?

Gemma2019 · 18/10/2020 23:15

I believe it was £84.99 but came with 20 sachets and 2 pod cups

GazingAndGrazing · 19/10/2020 10:30

@CeibaTree

How much was it on the QVC deal?
It’s back up to £105 now although still includes sachets and mugs and there is a £10 off code
MsMiaWallace · 19/10/2020 13:51

Are they worth it?
Would it be as good to buy a frother elsewhere?

sapnupuas · 19/10/2020 14:28

What was the QVC deal? I really want one.

GazingAndGrazing · 19/10/2020 14:42

@sapnupuas

What was the QVC deal? I really want one.
It appears to be over now as it’s up to £105 which is still a good deal compared to buying direct and there is a £10 discount code with QVC.

This was the deal. It was £84.99

Velvetiser

danceponydance · 19/10/2020 17:31

I'm told this is essentially the same thing but at a fraction of the price. The velvetiser is also made by dualit: www.johnlewis.com/dualit-milk-frother-black/p231706525
