I’ve shared a few on the bargain thread but I think it’s worthy of its own thread. Add your own stores you recommend.

This is a wonderful thread. Thanks for all the recommendations. I have just received a lovely package of exciting things from www.givenmoment.co.uk after hearing of them here.
I recommend rapanuiclothing.com Wonderful tshirts and other clothing.

Nowisthemonthofmaying · 25/11/2020 08:28

This thread is dangerous! Have already ordered maple butter, jigsaws, books, advent calendars and bath bombs... Will be doing all my shopping from these recommendations I think.

For amazing, incredibly ethical vegan chocolate I would recommend Solkiki - it's the best chocolate I've ever eaten, even including the normal non-vegan stuff, and they work directly with the growers so everyone gets a fair price. Much better even than fair trade.

Olliphant · 25/11/2020 09:08

www.blockart.co.uk
Does homeware with maps ( scottish) but has an offer on scandi Christmas decorations just now.

FoxyFelix · 26/11/2020 10:15

This is such a lovely thread, I've been browsing for days! My bank account doesn't like me and it's not even December yet.

I usually sell my watercolour Christmas cards and wall hangings/prints at Xmas markets and craft fairs at this time of year... obviously I can't do that now! So I've popped this year's Christmas art up on Etsy. All hand painted and ethically printed (plastic free, recyclable, FSC certified). 🌱 Lots of bundles and giftsets.

(Hope this post is okay, I promise I'm not a bot!)

I love this thread and found inspiration for my very difficult to buy for MIL.

I might be a bit late, but for pet portraits I really like Jules Pawtraits

www.etsy.com/uk/shop/JulesPawtraits

Sorry can't do a clicky link

She has made portraits of my two dogs (sadly no longer here). I chose the option where she paints on little wood slices that I hang on the Christmas tree. Given how talented she is they really aren't expensive.

Dolma Perfumes for vegan perfumes. Plenty of offers especially if you're on their mailing list.

I’ve just had some lovely stuff from Given Moment too, & they even added a small free gift.

Just in case it is of interest, my friend invited me to join this public FB group, which has independent sellers showcasing their goods:

Not on Amazon.

I also love this shop (based in Liverpool), which sells all kinds of quirky gifts and homeware. You can buy small superlambbananas here!

I thoroughly recommend www.stand4socks.com Great socks, all different designs and they give one pair away to a homeless charity for every pair sold. Very quick service too.

I’ve just ordered from Yarn and Fire

Natural candles and crocheted accessories

Very small business it seems so not too sure if they’d manage with a lot of orders

squelchwellies.com/
Basically a see through wellie that you can buy fun design socks to go inside and show off, but also have a spare pair if they get soggy. Avaialble in childrens and adults and also package deals. Ive finished my shopping but it looks like im about to get my bank card out again. Ive only just discovered them, and they'relocal to me too.

Mrsfussypants1 · 30/11/2020 10:46

Also 10% of their profits go to a foodbank in a very high of need area.

Love this thread. I've got so much ready now. Adding another to my list, so far I can recommend from purchases:

MuckyKnees - kids presents.
FudgieChunks - ridiculously beautiful fudge
The Wise Old Owl - custom gifts and wonderful customer service
Redbubble - have spent way too much there
Cadeux have lovely jewellery
Also got lots of stunning cards from various sellers on the [[https://thebritishcrafthouse.co.uk
British Craft House]] from this thread. That place sinks money.

Really, I'm done for Christmas presents but for nearest and dearest, but there's so much to look at on this thread Smile. Hope it carries on. Other charity-supporting places would be good, animal charities particularly if anyone knows of any?

This thread is going to bankrupt me! Thank you for the recommendation for squelchwellies - I've looked high and low for clear wellies with novelty socks. Really great find. Thank you.
VienneseWhirligig · 01/12/2020 19:35

Lovely independent brewery with a delicious hopped gin:
www.beerblefish.co.uk/

Been very impressed with this face covering and scrunchie seller (recommendation on MN and definitely worth it, really comfy and nice designs)
