I haven’t really watched many Christmas movies and I have a feeling we’ll end up filling the evenings with movie nights this year. Would love to hear your recommendations

@thelegohooverer you should! The first one is the best

1FootInTheRave · 19/09/2020 21:04

Elf and National Lampoons.

FilthyforFirth · 19/09/2020 21:07

Klaus is a beautiful film on Netflix that has become a classic in my household. Cant recommend it enough.

Bernard and the Genie is a firm favourite as is Scrooged with Bill Murray. We always watch that on Christmas eve!

fairydustandpixies · 19/09/2020 21:08

Elf
The snowman

jb2941 · 19/09/2020 21:19

Not so heard of. I think they are hallmark movies so not blockbusters and often show on channel 5 during Christmas time. But for me it's Mrs Miracle 1&2!

FrancisCross · 19/09/2020 22:07

In this order:

It’s a Wonderful Life
Scrooge (Alistair Sim)
Scrooged (Bill Murray)

2andahalfpints · 19/09/2020 22:24

Annie clause is coming to town

Star crossed Christmas

Holiday calendar

Deck the halls

The above mentioned are all good too, thought some of these you might not have seen lots already. I do also love the national lampoon's Christmas and the Mrs miracle films.

Jingle All The Way.

LeahDownTheLane · 20/09/2020 01:50

The Hallmark Christmas movies are the best. On Netflix or prime just search hallmark and they all come up.

janetmendoza · 20/09/2020 02:22

Trading Places

FixItUpChappie · 20/09/2020 02:33

Watched every year of my whole life (and now my kids lives):

The Grinch (original)
Santa Clause is Coming to Town (1970 stop motion)
Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer (stop motion 1964)
Frosty the Snowman (1969 Animated)

It's just not Christmas without them
