I haven’t really watched many Christmas movies and I have a feeling we’ll end up filling the evenings with movie nights this year. Would love to hear your recommendations

Home Alone, Muppets Christmas Carol, and The Family Stone.

Wherearefoxssocks · 19/09/2020 19:58

I watch as many versions of A Christmas Carol as I can. I think it's one of the greatest stories ever! Muppets is reserved for Christmas eve but I have a soft spot for the musical version with Kelsey Grammar. The Disney animated one is good too.

SantaMonicaPier · 19/09/2020 20:04

The Muppet Christmas Carol
Home Alone lost in New York
Christmas Carol (1984 George C Scott)

lorisparkle · 19/09/2020 20:17

I love Christmas films and was debating the other day whether it was too early to watch one!

I love miracle on 34th street, the grinch, elf, the elf who saved Christmas, rise of the guardians, the polar express, and the Santa clause in no particular order.

I also love watching Christmas specials of shows like Dr Who.

OutOntheTilez · 19/09/2020 20:18

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

yearinyearout · 19/09/2020 20:20

Home alone

Viviennemary · 19/09/2020 20:20

Definitely Miracle on 34th Street. And I liked Snowmageddon a disaster snow storm film involving a Christmas snow globe.

Wordofwarning · 19/09/2020 20:22

Without fail Christmas for me starts by wrapping presents to Bruce in Die Hard.

Can’t explain why, it just does.

Excellent Xmas film

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 19/09/2020 20:27

Lost Christmas ( Eddie Izzard)
Last Christmas ( saw this last year utter tripe but loved it Xmas Blush )

A Nightmare Before Christmas is on Hallowe'en here Xmas Wink

thelegohooverer · 19/09/2020 20:34

@AnnaSW1😂 well that makes sense. I got dragged to the cinema to see one of the later sequels by dh years ago do that really wasn’t computing. I’ll have to add it to my list.
