Just wondered if all you lovely people could help me. I have 2 teens (boy and girl) and an older DD in her 20's Smile and am struggling to think of good sf for them. TIA

Thanks Pam that's such a great list, has given me lots of ideas. Smile

Thanks Ghost, they got a personalised jar of Nutella one year which they loved too.

Two teens here (16/18), stockings seem to cost a fortune but I think they appreciate the gesture.

Charger cable (I think the monster under the bed eats them!)
Lush voucher
American sweeties
Socks
Make up (dd)
Craft ales (ds)
Aftershave/perfume
Cinema voucher
Book

tararabumdeay · 21/08/2020 19:08

Torch, transistor radio and FAB 208 annual.

MarshmallowManiac · 21/08/2020 19:33

Great ideas thanks Lockdown, mine are the same ages. Smile

Where did you get them from please Pam?

Thanks Tararabumdeay think DS would like a radio.

I'd go for -

  • Selection box to fill up some space
  • Chocolate orange/coins/santa
  • Slipper socks/fun socks (tkmaxx often have happysocks for a good price)
  • Designer boxers - CKs or similar
  • Voucher for greggs/subway/pret/costa/somewhere like that
  • Charging cable and cable protector
  • Nice smellies
  • New card game (me and DP (not teens but early 20s) really like monopoly deal, uno, exploding kittens, cards against humanity)
  • A little toy like nanoblocks or similar
  • Maybe a beer or two?

Really like the badly wrapped gift from a pet, might steal that Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 21/08/2020 21:51

Fab list 999 we usually do choc orange, coins, santa and selection box. Just reminded me to buy fluffy socks, and Subway/Starbucks voucher thanks. DS would love CKs I know but we'll see Grin

@MarshmallowManiac

I looked at the personalised marmite jars last year but they were silly prices as they posted the whole jar so I went on the site , did a free mock up of the names I wanted and printed my own labels at home then glued them onto the jar . FC is a cheapskate in this house !

Trumpton · 22/08/2020 07:54

Oh and always a grow your own magic crystal ChristMas tree .

MaverickDanger · 23/08/2020 12:31

Big bag of pick & mix
Mini Buck’s Fizz for those that drink/are old enough to
Christmas decoration/bauble
Candle/incense
Puzzle/riddle book
Little succulent plant (real or fake)
Useful keyring - with a torch or bottle opener, or one to do with hobbies/Lego figure that looks like them

MarshmallowManiac · 25/08/2020 14:06

Good ideas thanks Trumpton

Love pick and mix Maverick, think I might get them some key rings too thanks. Smile

I love the cable protectors idea. Definitely going to be in my teen's stocking this year.
Personalised marmite sounds good too.

I always try and find some Christmassy scented soap/shower gel etc, and plenty of chocolate and sweets.
Then a book, iTunes card, new underwear, and some sort of mini card or travel game.

I always give a present from the pets! I wrap it in a paper bag which I have previously left on the doormat on a rainy day so it gets muddy paw marks on

MarshmallowManiac · 25/08/2020 15:08

Lego usually buy from Body Shop/Lush for a special gift, then other toiletries might be from Boots/Wilko/Lidl [santa]

OP posts:
WellTidy · 25/08/2020 15:19

You’ve had some great ideas. I’m taking notes! Also:

Personalised Lego minifigure
Mug filled with chocolate celebrations
Popcorn maker and popcorn (unpopped) with syrups
Lynx (or something along those lines!)
Toiletries minis for holidays or just to try new things out
Random flavour Fanta cans (I get them from the sweet shop which has a range of imported drinks)
Pick and mix (I put it in a small Kilmer type jar and tie with Christmas ribbon)
Sachets of different flavour hot chocolate - hotel chocolat does some lovely ones, the hazelnut one is superb

MarshmallowManiac · 25/08/2020 22:28

My DS used to love Lego figures when he was small WellTidy thank you for the fab ideas Smile

WellTidy · 26/08/2020 10:58

Also mini tubs of pringles! Again, my local sweet shop does unusual flavours like pizza flavour.

MarshmallowManiac · 26/08/2020 12:02

Must look out for those WellTidy heard they do flavours like Thai Sweet Chilli, think my DC would love pizza flavour too Grin

My two daughters will be 14 and 17 and love a stocking. Things they've enjoyed before

Coins, chocolate orange, favourite chocolate or sweets
Tub of chewing gum
Bobbles
Face masks (real beauty ones and not for covid, but that might be an idea)
Hair masks
Make up
Straightener heat cases
Christmas nails (when younger)
Power banks
Lush stuff
Fluffy socks

This yr my eldest will be at college and there's a Starbucks so possibly a voucher for that.

I love putting together the stockings

MarshmallowManiac · 27/08/2020 18:00

Shark lots of great ideas thanks, forgot bobbles, they always go through so many Grin Also face masks great, I buy some for my DS too as he loves them, great for spots. Love a pair of fluffy socks, and they're always looking for power banks in this house Grin

OP posts:
MarshmallowManiac · 27/08/2020 18:02

They also love Selection boxes too, never too old for chocolate Smile

OP posts:
70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/08/2020 19:29

Oh yes there has to be a decent sized Selection Box in there for late night scoffing or breakfast Xmas Grin

And a pack of naice sweets they'll savour . Harder to find now . My DS liked the Hotel Chocolat Penguins I bought him last year .
DD likes Lindt mini reindeer or teddy bears .

Just because they're adults doesn't mean they're too grown up for chocolate Xmas Grin
