Just wondered if all you lovely people could help me. I have 2 teens (boy and girl) and an older DD in her 20's Smile and am struggling to think of good sf for them. TIA

Great thread! I struggle with stocking fillers for my two teens every year, they are 16 and 19. It's worse because it's really easy to buy bits for my younger two, 6 and 9, and I like it to look a little even! I've just ordered the wallet ninja. One year I got fun Smiggle pencils and pads but they didn't use them. I always do pants, socks, a toiletry set, chocolate and sweets. The older one can now have alcohol so that helps as he appreciates it.

MarshmallowManiac · 27/08/2020 23:26

Absolutely 70, Hotel Chocolate penguins sound yum, we sometimes put Lindt teddies in there too. Smile

Yes Alice I find it hard too as they're getting older, mine are the same age as yours. Yes I forget pants always do fluffy socks I have two that can have alcohol and one that wishes they could Grin

This is the thread I've been looking for! My dds are 20,19 and 16 and although I still want to do them stockings it's getting harder on a limited budget. So far I have
Make up bits (brow stuff, mascara, lip gloss)
Beauty blender
Face and foot masks
Scented candle
Candy Kittens sweets for dd1 and dd3, Reese's peanut butter cups for dd2
Nice soap

I usually get hot chocolate sachets and fluffy socks. Did mugs (oldest sister, middle sister, youngest sister) and keyrings last year but charging cables, hair bobbles/scrunchies and trainer socks now going on the list.

MarshmallowManiac · 30/08/2020 12:12

Great bits KateF mine are similar ages and love phone cases, hair teaser, and sweets from onepoundsweets.com/shop/
in their stocking [santa]

That sweets website is great. Strawberry laces used to be their favourite so I'll get some of those.

I8toys · 30/08/2020 16:17

I got most of mine from Urban Outfitters last year - clip on chargers and portable speakers when down well.

MarshmallowManiac · 30/08/2020 17:23

Love those old sweets KateF yes bought some sweets for the kids and bought some for myself lol love the Blackcurrant flyers/shrimps and bananas. Grin

Ooh must take a look I8toys

Once mine are back at school I plan to do some serious retail therapy. If I find any good stocking fillers I'll pop them on this thread. 🥰

MarshmallowManiac · 01/09/2020 17:01

That would be great Alice all ideas welcome [santa]

I don't know if this is a bit young, but I bought DS astronaut food sachets for his stocking last year. I think it was neapolitan ice cream, or something like that. He wasn't impressed - it is still unopened, but it may be a fun idea!

MarshmallowManiac · 02/09/2020 19:35

I think it is fun WellTidy, my lot love ice cream Grin

Nice tea, Teapigs or Tesco extra special chocolate tea has gone down well.

A box of Japanese snacks split between them all (order early as they take weeks to arrive!)

You can get an individual post of Cheeriod and other American cereals for £1 from B and M, overpriced but enjoyed.

American Pop Tarts, overpriced again but appreciated.

A magic facecloth, which my DD has had every year since she was 3 so can't break the tradition!

The light up wine bottles from Poundland have gone down well and look a lot more expensive than they are.

A set of Korean face masks in weird varieties like snail slime or snake.

Random crap from Poundland like notebooks, stupid socks and mugs and some toiletries, you can get some surprisingly good things in there.

Gingerkittykat · 03/09/2020 08:35

I forgot Piatnik playing cards, my DD has built up a nice collection over the years.

BigSandyBalls2015 · 03/09/2020 08:37

My DDs were 18 last Christmas and I’ve just remembered the excitement when they spotted the magic snow I was wrapping for my 4 year old god daughter .... needless to say she didn’t receive it 😂

frustrationcentral · 03/09/2020 08:59

My 16 year old DS loves a hot chocolate stocking a couple of years ago- Whittards posh powder, monin flavourings, mini marshmallows, shaker and stencils and a new mug

I've also in the past done packs of cards, bike bits ( mud off stuff), gift vouchers for restaurants/ milkshake shop, American sweets, nice toiletries

RunningHoops · 03/09/2020 12:19

Sorry I'm confused you do know it's only August right??

Guess who's going to wish they'd joined the thread when it's lockdown and Amazon are overrun!

ElfDragon · 03/09/2020 13:16

I do a mix of items which are normally forbidden/not bought (eg bubblegum, ridiculous sugary cereal/fizzy drink), stuff that is normal (pants and socks, toothbrush) but a level up from what I normally buy so designer, or novelty, and luxury things which they love but we don’t have everyday - pick and mix Lindor is always a real hit as can tailor it to individual tastes.

The advent elves in this house always bring each person a new tree decoration too (eye on the future when children will move out and want - possibly - familiar Christmas decorations, so building up a set of decorations that have memories already associated, and I don’t want to be left with nothing!)
