DH left the house at 7 this morning to do his hobby he went for a short bike ride but this is MN and I need to be mysterious and said it looked autumnal as there was dew on the cars and mist over the fields. I love autumn so I'm encouraging him.

Themostwonderfultimeoftheyear · 07/08/2020 21:16

Thanks for the ideas ladies, I definitely need some new PJs, my ones are full of holes!

Love the couple in my cross stitch :)

She was fabulous Mrs she looked extremely worldly wise. I haven't seen the potting shed no but I will be tuning in again next week, think I might catch up on a few episodes on Youtube in the meantime, any awesome episodes you would recommend? Smile

pussycatinboots · 07/08/2020 21:20

Woolly you've a MAMIL? Grin hmm, I have a phantom gardener - he waters the plants when it starts to go dark. One day, I swear, he'll water the Hedgehog! He's also made £7 profit on free bingo since Sunday - dunno, don't ask!

pussycatinboots · 07/08/2020 21:23

most some of mine are a bit fred too, but they've got cats on and I can't find any new ones I like 😳
That pic is coming on tremendously well, are there sparks coming off your needle? 😉😁

MarshmallowManiac · 07/08/2020 21:35

It is official my fuchsia has left us RIP, sure nd cat is the culprit Sad

MarshmallowManiac · 07/08/2020 22:09

Can't believe that 8 days after falling down the stairs my foot is still in thi state

Mrsmadevans · 07/08/2020 22:46

i am vere impressed by the bruising & lack of hair Maniac Grin
Hope it isnt painful now Flowers
Can't think of any GW that have been especially good because they are all excellent but the previous presenter Geoff Hamilton used to make compost bins and had Bob Flowerdew on who made lots of stuff with odd bits and pieces Smile
Fluffy have you seen any nice ones They have lovely ones all over , l saw some gorgeous ones in Sains l espesh love these Smile

Boots the idea of slurred typing made me laugh.

MarshmallowManiac · 07/08/2020 23:07

Haha Mrs you wouldn't have been impressed by the lack of hair if you'd seen them last week Grin but we have to have hairless legs for holidays Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 07/08/2020 23:08

Still painful Mrs but thankfully slowly easing Smile

MarshmallowManiac · 07/08/2020 23:12

Will look those up thanks Mrs

NoWordForFluffy · 07/08/2020 23:14

I once did something nasty to my ankle. It took ages to go down it may have involved a few pints of Stella and jumping to celebrate a goal on a stepped terrace!.

Have I seen nice GW episodes? Not a clue, I don't commit them to memory! They did have a presenter called Gay Search which used to make me snigger!

Forgot to say, I saw a seagull eating a pigeon earlier. It was giving it what for in Sainsbury's car park!

I'm getting towards completing the first half of the cross stitch. Exciting times!

I'm sorry to hear that you hurt your ankle Fluffy but am happy that at least you went down in the name of drunken fun! Grin

MarshmallowManiac · 07/08/2020 23:26

Loving your cross stitch Fluffy

Morning!

I'm awake too early. Boooo. I'm a bit warm though. 🥵 And it was only 22.9° in here when we came up.

Beach and housework day today. Exciting!

Woke up at 4, rolled over and dragged a corner of duvet over me so just got up! Cats were happy to see me - well, hungry anyway 🤷🏻‍♀️
23 in the living room.
DH is shampooing the hallway carpet later don't ask, he enjoys a tool

sideorderofchips · 08/08/2020 10:24

I sprained my ankle about 4 years ago. Ended up having to have screws put in after 4 days as I had torn all the ligaments and the bones were drifting apart.

I then broke the screw three weeks later. The screws that are mean to last years 🙄

FireflyGirl · 08/08/2020 10:57

boots we've borrowed DM's carpet cleaner, and DH has been having a whale of a time. Most of downstairs is laminate, but the hall and bedrooms are carpeted. We haven't done them in over a year since the last time we borrowed DM's cleaner and the amount of cat hair it's got up is Envy.

I've spent the morning sorting the greenhouse to get started on lettuce/kale/Swiss chard to overwinter.

My tomatoes are absolutely rampant, they reach the roof of the greenhouse, but very adamantly green. I'm going to try nipping the tops off and thinning the leaves to see if that makes them start ripening.

Soft tissue injuries can often be worse than a fracture. I hurt mine about 12 years ago, and still have problems now. Probably didn't help that I did it before the work Christmas party but decided to ignore it and spent 8 hours dancing on it Blush

NerosFiddle · 08/08/2020 10:59

Morning all.

I tried to post 4 times yesterday and it didn't work. So I'm not holding out hope that this does either.

We're to get mad high temperatures of 18 today.

Biddy can you get home ok with the new lockdowns? We were going to go to my sil's in Donegal but afraid we wouldn't get back 😂.

NerosFiddle · 08/08/2020 10:59

It worked!

WreckTangled · 08/08/2020 11:02

Ankle looks nasty!

I've just done a HIIT workout and am drowning in sweat Grin going to do Pilates to finish off.

sideorderofchips · 08/08/2020 11:42

We hit 35.2oc here yesterday. Supposed to be 27 today

CrazyBaubles · 08/08/2020 11:54

I've managed to catch up with the posts from last night, but not this morning. No signal whatsoever for most of yesterday.

Firefly there are loads of derelict castles all over the place here. They'd need the sleeping bags and camp fires here, the second the sun goes in the wind gets you and it's freezing!

Candles would be my suggestion most - walking into a room that smells good makes me relax instantly.

biddy DH will wear black or dark blue masks only too (and makes the 🙄 face at me for my polka dot one)

I love eating the fruit out of cocktails woolly, especially when you're abroad and they stick an orange wedge or 2 in everything!

Oh the mysterious hobby thing on here drives me mad. Nobodies DH is the only person in the world with their hobby, saying he plays golf / goes cycling / swimming / boxing / hiking / building figurines / playing rugby isn't outing FFS!

We're on the Isle of Lewis now. We stayed next to an amazing beach last night - it was grey when we got there but cleared up within an hour or so. I'm not sure I want to come home.

We saw the Standing Stones this morning (a bit like stone henge) and now on our way to the other side of the island.

Firefly, I danced on mine too (we won the league that day!). It was like an elephant's foot the next day! 🤦‍♀️

If I'd broken my shoulder it would've been much quicker to heal than a fully torn tendon which needed surgery!

We've been to the beach and then the woods to pick blackberries. I think it'll be much better in about 2-3 weeks as there weren't many there.

Your photos are stunning, Crazy.
