Probably 5am, I cant sleep on Christmas eve, I've always been the same.
Dd (10) will be up from about 6 (most probably), but she will just chill out for an hour.

Spacerader · 19/12/2019 20:25

Dd and ds want to get up at the crack of dawn but I wont allow it. They are allowed to come in to wake me around half 7. Then we will get up feed and walk the dog, have breakfast and then open presents.

They are allowed to open their stocking in their room whenever they like tho and without us. My ds will often do this in the early hours then go back to sleep

TeenPlusTwenties · 19/12/2019 20:29

The turkey normally needs to go in 7/7:30, so around then if DD2 hasn't woken me earlier.

Cup of tea, back to bed for stockings.

RidingMyBike · 19/12/2019 20:30

Probably about 7am for waking up. DD has a groclock so isn't allowed out of her room until 7.30am. We go to the Xmas Day service at church at 10am so will have to actually get up at about 8am.

dementedma · 19/12/2019 20:31

about 8am. Coffee in bed until kids surface to do stockings

Maryann1975 · 19/12/2019 20:31

We normally say the dc can open their stockings at 7.30 and come in to us at 8, but we normally shout them through about 7.50. This is the first year we have a sleepy teenager who doesn’t like to get out of bed, so I’m not sure what will happen this year.

CremeEggThief · 19/12/2019 20:32

10.30 or 11, as has been the case most recent Christmases. DS is 17 and it's just the two of us.
I

Featherweight · 19/12/2019 20:32

No specific plans on waking time, I have a human alarm clock for xmas day. My 6 year old will probably have me up for around 5am though I reckon!

BarbedBloom · 19/12/2019 20:35

9am. No kids and family aren't coming till 1ish

RoseMartha · 19/12/2019 20:42

Ideally I would like to wake up 7.30-8am, but realistically with DC and one with asd it is likely to be much earlier.

user1485291191 · 19/12/2019 20:45

5.30 work at 7

Fruitteatime · 19/12/2019 20:46

I imagine dd and ds will wake us up between 7am and 8am as normal. So far dd who is 6 hasn't woken up early when she is excited for something. I'm not sure what age that starts but I remember many nights being unable to sleep because of the sheer excitement. I'm still like it now!

managedmis · 19/12/2019 20:48

We'll be at BIL's so God knows.

Arrowfanatic · 19/12/2019 21:05

Around 7am probably.

MotherHeggy · 19/12/2019 21:10

No plans. Will wake up when I wake up.

Topseyt · 19/12/2019 21:10

Generally, around 8 - 8.30am.

Our three DDs are no longer small. Indeed, youngest is 17 now. All three will be back with us for Christmas and all like their sleep. Thankfully. They used to like getting up around 5am on Christmas day, but that has been knocked on the head now. 8 o'clock is far more civilised.

Baboutheocelot · 19/12/2019 21:13

The kids will probably get us up at a very uncivilised 6am.

helpfulperson · 19/12/2019 21:15

As late as I can get away with. Probably around lunchtime.

PumpkinPie2016 · 19/12/2019 21:18

Probably between 7 and 7.30am as that's when DS will wake up.

I don't mind though as I love opening his presents with him.

thebearwentoverthebumble · 19/12/2019 21:18

This is my first year with a child but even though I am 32 I can never sleep on Christmas eve. I expect as soon as I finally fall asleep at 5am my 7mo ds will wake up!

Millie2013 · 19/12/2019 21:18

I’m an early riser, so probably my usual 6am. Last year, I was waiting impatiently for DD to wake up!
(I’m knackered by 9pm though Grin)

CakeAndGin · 19/12/2019 21:21

Probably when I need to use the toilet! But I plan on going back to bed for an hour to lounge around, unless I’m getting hungry for cheese, chocolate and stuffing (not together obviously).

wendz86 · 19/12/2019 21:26

Prob be woken around half 5 by the kids. Last christmas they weren't with me and i still woke up really early though.

Bluerussian · 19/12/2019 21:29

I expect I'll wake 10.30-11ish. Gone are the days of young child climbing on us in bed. I will be going to 'not so young now childs' at lunch time so morning to myself.

Raffles1981 · 19/12/2019 21:32

We have a 2 year old. So depending on him really! But before our boy, we would get up about 9ish, after breakfast in bed
