I'm going for approx 4:30 coz that's my usual time for getting up. OH gets up the same time and then spends at least an hour making a racket so he can wake the kids up!

@Notso Pull the phone out of the bloody wall. Christmas or not, she has no right to disrupt your peace 😑

Notso · 21/12/2019 22:50

@virginpinkmartini Unfortunately I think she'd either ring the older kids mobiles or worse 'pop' in to see if we were alright. We've moved house and are in easy walking distance now!

At 04.30 when DPs alarm goes off! He is working a 12 hour shift. Hopefully I will go back to sleep then up around 9, dog walk, then off to collect my Mums and visit my MIL in her residential home. Will get my 16 year old to come with me for that.

No young one anymore for the very early starts,

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 21/12/2019 23:09

1yo DS usually wakes up around 5.30am unfortunately. If we're lucky he may go back to sleep til 6am if I bring him into our bed. 6yo DD normally gets up about 7am but she'll be excited so may be up earlier.

StanleyWalkersThirdWife · 21/12/2019 23:13

Wow some of you get up so late for having kids! I'm not generally an early riser and dont have kids yet but when we were little we'd get up at like 4-4.30am! My mum and dad always got up with us at that time then we'd sit and watch a new christmas video while they went back to bed!

Pascha · 21/12/2019 23:18

Kids will be awake before six but the whole point of stockings in their rooms is that they can entertain themselves with it for a while. Usually we go downstairs around 7-7.30 which is about average for a weekend anyway.

Minxmumma · 21/12/2019 23:28

When the toddler decides it's time within reason. Smile Probably 6ish

Tigger001 · 21/12/2019 23:45

6.30 is the time the Gro clock changes and our toddler is like clockwork, so 6.30 it is. My DH is working Christmas Eve so won't get home until about 4am so no sleep for him SadSad

Cineraria · 21/12/2019 23:58

Our sons are too little (2 and 4) to get up extra early with excitement. I think they'll wake up between 8:30 and 9 and come into our bed for a snuggle for ten minutes or so. Then we'll get up and go down to see if Father Christmas has filled their stockings.

IfOnlyOurEyesSawSouls · 22/12/2019 00:33

Would love it to be 8am.

Last year our 10 year old couldn't get to sleep until 4am .

Oh my lord it was awful. Me & DH were so exhausted Christmas Day.

MinkowskisButterfly · 22/12/2019 20:00

I think the earliest I was ever woken on christnas day was 3am by dd1 (she was sent back to bed!). I am happy for them to wake me from 5ish (probably will be that time!)

Chasingsquirrels · 22/12/2019 20:04

As late as possible - my boys are with their dad but the dog will wake me anywhere from 6.30am onwards, although this weekend has been 7.30am and 7.50am. Get up, let him out and feed him, then go back to bed.
Going to my parents for lunch so will be up earlier than yesterday and today!

stargirl1701 · 26/12/2019 22:21

Our first wake up this year was 1.20am. Then 4 more times before 7am. 😴
