Stupid o'clock. It's a tradition 😵

stoplickingthetelly · 19/12/2019 21:34

Hoping the kids stay asleep until 6am. Anytime after that is acceptable.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 19/12/2019 21:37

I'd hope for 9am. Realistically, it'll be 5.15am. Not because of children, but because I always wake up stupidly early...

Runwayqueen · 19/12/2019 21:38

3am to go to work Xmas Envy

Ragwort · 19/12/2019 21:40

6.30 ish, same as every day, I am going to the Midnight Service so will be late but it never seems to make any difference. I shall be alone as DH & DS away skiing, planning a lazy morning at home and then going to my parents for the day.

Tumbleweed101 · 21/12/2019 21:07

Whenever the kids wake up lol. Hopefully no earlier than 6am :o.

stargirl1701 · 21/12/2019 21:08

Not before 7am. DC will be returned to bed if they are up before then.

Peanutbutteryogurt · 21/12/2019 21:13

Whenever DD wakes up, usually between 7 and 8

Tiredmummyof3 · 21/12/2019 21:21

Am I the only one who is awake before the kids?!? I'm always too excited and wake up early! Flushing toilets trying to wake everyone else!

eitak22 · 21/12/2019 21:22

Probably 9am at the latest as church will start at 10.30.

dogcatdog · 21/12/2019 21:24

My DS (16m) doesn't care what day it is so I imagine we will be up at 4:30am just like every other day.

lifeisgoodagain · 21/12/2019 21:24

Normally around 9 to get dc's to choir practice on time, they are choristers. This year earlier because new man needs to be elsewhere by 10 and has a drive ...

lifeisgoodagain · 21/12/2019 21:26

Ps don't sleep much myself as I don't get in until 1am from midnight mass

SoMuchToBits · 21/12/2019 21:31

5.30 as need to leave house at 6.30 to go to work.

Boots20 · 21/12/2019 21:39

Usually around 6 Xmas Shock sometimes earlier, I would love it to be about 8 though, my 10 year old is always first to wake and alerts her younger brothers "wake up its Christmas!!!" I am so so excited

virginpinkmartini · 21/12/2019 21:47

Probably about 6am to put DS's bike from Santa out before he properly gets up. He comes through to us some nights to cuddle and sleep in our bed, and I don't want to risk him seeing it at 2am and spoiling the surprise (He's not a spoilt brat or anything, he has additional needs and wouldn't understand if we said no to cuddles in our bed... If you knew him it would feel very cruel).

Hes good in the sense that he won't be insisting that we get up at silly o clock to unwrap presents, so there's that.

LittleAndOften · 21/12/2019 21:49

Whenever 6 week old ds2 decides he needs a feed/change! DS1 wakes at about 5.30am too so I'll hope to catch a nap later in the day.

BentNeckLady · 21/12/2019 21:52

I’ll probably have to wake the kids up about 8.30. I remember getting my parents up at 5am, thankfully mine have never done that 😂

CheekyFuckersDontGetPastMe · 21/12/2019 22:03

No idea this year,, DC alll teens or nearly there.

I’ll be up with Ddog and I’ll enjoy the peace
I’ll also be in my PJs all day

No fucks given

PennyPeach · 21/12/2019 22:06

My youngest is 13 and already very excited. I'd thought it'd have worn off a bit for him but nope - he'd have us up at 6 if he could. We've agreed no earlier than 7.30 but I'd prefer err 9

Funnyface1 · 21/12/2019 22:09

I'll be up at 7 with dh for tea and toilet and stuff, then the DC should be up by about 8 to start Christmas. Can't wait.

goose1964 · 21/12/2019 22:15

DD and DGS will be up by 5,she's never slept late on Christmas day. I'll follow down about 6. I'll make DH a couple of espressos to dynamite his ass out of bed about 7.30

Hoghgyni · 21/12/2019 22:20

5.30. We will then wait for DD(17) to wake up, lose patience at around 8.30- 9 & go in to bounce her out of bed. Revenge is sweet.

TheSandgroper · 21/12/2019 22:24

Weber has to be lit at 6. I’m praying for no fire ban.

Notso · 21/12/2019 22:32

My kids usually sleep in after a long night of fannying around resulting in DH and me being up until 3-4 waiting for them to sleep.
MIL who gets up routinely at 5 will ring the house phone after her multiple texts and WhatsApps not being replied to and wake them all up. Every fucking year.
