Best Xmas presents you ever got as a child?

What were some of your favourite Xmas presents you got as a child? A little trip down memory lane.

Mine were:
A tinker bell toad stall house/playset
Barrie stamps (stamps with Barbie figurines on top)
Polly Pocket treehouse (magnetic one)
A DS lite
A tub of Crayola felt tips that were chunky
Jane Eyre/Wuthering Heights on dvd
An original Jessie doll from Toy Story 2

I distinctly remember a few gifts, but the one that really stands out is the year I asked for roller skates. My parents had me convinced that I was too young for the proper roller disco boots and that I should ask santa for the plastic ones that clip on the bottom of your shoes instead. But lo and behold on Xmas morning, Santa had brought the disco boots after all. I was worried that my parents might not let me use them as I was too young 😂 But my mum assured me that if santa thought I was grown up enough, then she did too. I'll never forget that magic

My fave Christmas memory is of getting a big pile of board games. It was great spending that Christmas in front of the fire playing with parents and cousins. I always make sure we get at least one new game for the family every year and my games cupboard now includes 2 drawers of my chest of drawers as well as the cupboard.

Lights Alive.

I was always told Father Christmas doesn't bring everything you ask for but this was top of my letter to the big guy for three years running. I got it on the third year of asking nicely. Best present ever!

Ice skates as a total surprise when I was 8.
I’d only been skating twice but had loved it.
I’d opened all my parcels and was very pleased with my lot when my mum said “are you sure that’s everything?”. I had to look behind all the furniture in the living room, and there behind a chair was a huge box with my skates. It was the start of a hobby which lasted me into adulthood.
I can’t watch Dancing On Ice because I’m jealous of the tuition the slebs get!!

Commodore 64. Played with that thing until it died

Glo Friends - little plastic bugs that flowed in the dark when you held them under a light bulb. They came with their own little sleeping bag so they could go to bed with you.
