@PinkDaydreams that's what I thought cause my neighbour is 9 but he says they've not got it. They are usually good with taking in parcels so not sure. Will work out what it is and contact dpd

The Amazon Christmas tree, it arrived in a battered box just hoping everything inside is still useable. Can't take it out to try it as I have not cleared the area it needs to go in yet and it's not December

For those looking at the aeropress - I got a second one for DH about a month ago for £18.49. It was the lowest I’d ever seen it (he’s had his original one for about 10 years now and we’ve bought several as gifts and also recommended them to friends so have kept an eye on prices - only buying this second one now because he works away now and has an apartment where he is on assignment - the original one is still going strong). It did then drop down to under £18 a day or two later. Might be work a CCC alert to see if it drops again

I downloaded the Amazon app yesterday and on the homepage there was a banner with a £10 credit promo (works with £30 spend) when I signed in for the first time. Might be worth a try?

@SlayingDragons, my Aeropress works out less than that when the coffee price is taken off (assuming it's a 250g bag). And it's nice to support a local business too. I'm happy with the price I paid (and knowing I got the right type of coffee!).

Re the telescope for space mad 7 year old, have you thought about binoculars? We bought a telescope for my daughter of about the same age and by the time they had walked away from the house, set it up on uneven ground, my husband eventually found something, she tried to look through one eye, then knocked the telescope so it needed resetting - the binoculars were much faster with the star app. I also think you will probably get better binoculars for the same telescope money. Obviously if very serious and big budget there are some awesome telescopes. Also binoculars take up less space. There are some articles on the web I found after buying the telescope saying the same thing.

@gaggiagirl goodness only knows what that’s a photo of. I will phone them tomorrow and try to find out.

@1122christy we are in the Scottish Highlands so if it’s been left in a garage round about then it’s quite likely to find its way here. Normally the drivers know exactly who we are but I have noticed that there are a few new ones, possibly just for Christmas. It’s my Boden parcel too. Not that you could tell from the picture.

Has anyone else managed to get John Lewis to price match the Lenovo on sale for £119.99 at Argos? I’ve submitted two price match queries and both times they have replied that the item is more expensive with the competitor. At John Lewis it is £179.00.
