Booths Christmas book

Booths are releasing their Christmas book on 18th October! The start of my Christmas is sitting down and dreaming of getting everything in it.

I got my book today but haven’t had a chance to read it - this thread has reminded me to settle on the sofa and get a bit Christmassy 😊

Got my book today too. A friend works at Booths, so she always kindly picks up a copy for me.
We’ve got 2 Booths within 10/15 mins. So, quite spoiled (although they are expensive compared to ‘run of the mill’ supermarkets). Waitrose is also 15 mins away, but I don’t think they’re comparable to Booths.

No, Waitrose is nice enough (though our nearest one is a bit grim!), but Booths is another level!

A month later but I finally picked up my Booths Christmas book today. We popped into the cafe to have lunch (pumpkin and sage soup - delicious!) and there they all were, piled up at the doors.

I'm now going to sit and read it cover to cover before getting back to the decorating.

I am miles away from any Booths and about a 30 minute drive from a decent Waitrose /20 minutes drive from a grim Waitrose .
( I only dive in there for Vegetarian mince and the ice cream)

I requested an online copy , I'm off to see if it's arrived yet ...................

Did the e-Book come out in mid October?

They haven't sent it to me
Either I didn't dubmit the request properly (most likely scenario) or they don't think I'm worthy because (a) vegetarian so not buying their wares and (b) Southerner so not going to buy their wares or get delivery .

I've ordered my Christmas food from the Burscough Booths this year after a traumatic incident with a Waitrose turkey....

I'm still annoyed that the Booths in Southport closed, and tbh I was barely out of nappies when that happened.

@BiasBinding, what's even more annoying is that they were going to open a new one on Liverpool Rd, by the Methodist church, but scrapped the idea due to Sainsbury’s getting planning permission on Meols Cop retail estate for their superstore. Which they've failed to build so far, despite Homebase closing almost 2 years' ago to make way for it. I could've walked to bloody Booths then.

And I wasn't even living here when it became part of Sefton and removed from Lancs, and I'm annoyed by it!

Oh, what time is your Burscough collection slot? I was 2pm on 23 Dec last year and it was CARNAGE in the car park due to the position on the retail estate. I had to park round the corner, after the petrol station.

I've gone for 8am on Christmas Eve in Hesketh Bank this year. Early, and no other shops sharing the parking!

We got our Christmas food from Booths last year. I felt like I’d finally made it 😂

We've bought a Volvo estate recently, so I feel like we actually look like we belong in the car park! 😂

@NoWordForFluffy My only dread is the parking mayhem scenario....we're collecting on the Sunday and going for intensive refrigeration till Christmas!

A Booths on Liverpool Road would have been perfect

I hope you get parked OK. I've never seen twattish mayhem like it! (Surely not the Booths' clientele!)

And I bloody know. Too late now, they built those houses on the land instead. Sigh.

We're away for Christmas this year so don't really need to do a Christmas food shop but just for fun I've been through the book and circled all the things I want and totted up the price. My fantasy Booths order came to £229.85. It would have a high proportion of party nibbles to eat all by myself, desserts and a good bottle of whisky!
