money!

RingThoseChristmasBells · 21/12/2018 12:54

Money here as well. I've had to put the Sainsbury's shop on the credit card. We've got so much on it I'm really stressed about it. I don't know how we're going to pay the money back.

GaryBaldbiscuit · 21/12/2018 12:55

Go to stepchange?

Wrapping paper.

Jaxtellerswife · 21/12/2018 13:01

A lot! I can get some of the food today but we will be shopping right up to Christmas Eve evening. We were organised financially but then I chose to spend 400 on a test for my baby after other worrying results (all came back good, money well spent) and then two days later my dog cost 400 at the vets 🤦🏻‍♀️I love her but I did give her the side eye after she recovered very quickly indeed lol.
We will all get there!

BiddyPop · 21/12/2018 13:19

A turkey (we actually like it) - I will get one somewhere locally tomorrow or Sunday.

Spiced beef - for DH (one good local butcher does it so might get it there).

Otherwise, I think we're good.

(Lots of presents still to get for various people, but I could give wine instead if I had to).

TarragonSauce · 21/12/2018 13:22

Goodwill.

(Not really. I luffs you all, or at least I will when the shops close on Monday and I get the gin out)

NotCitrus · 21/12/2018 13:35

Just about to go collect the meat and buy veg etc.

Parttimewasteoftime · 21/12/2018 13:36

No turkey or sprouts I have a low level panic but in work today so will worry tomorrow.

CatchingBabies · 21/12/2018 13:37

Right now chairs. We’ve got 14 people for dinner and only 6 chairs. I’ve bought a fold out table and now just need chairs to go with them but they are all very expensive so far and wouldn’t have any use for them or place to store them for the rest of the year, at this rate it’s dressing table stools and garden benches!

madmother1 · 21/12/2018 13:40

Catching babies. Ask your guests for chairs or we used to borrow some from our lovely neighbours. 😁

caesio · 21/12/2018 13:48

Catching babies have you any computer desk/office chairs. They go up and down so are good extra chairs.

I have these folding chairs in black and they're sturdy for the price.

Seat is 45cm off th e ground so you'd need to check against your table height.

OvO · 21/12/2018 17:22

Pyjamas. Need some for my 14 year old. This is essential! Is it even Christmas if you don’t get new jammies?

I’m going to have to go Outside tomorrow.

BollocksToBrexit · 21/12/2018 17:27

Right now chairs. We’ve got 14 people for dinner and only 6 chairs.

Same here. I've told everyone to bring a chair with them.

AnchorDownDeepBreath · 21/12/2018 17:35

I've never had Christmas pyjamas. But then I don't wear pyjamas so I guess that makes sense!

I'm still waiting on some presents to arrive Confused

Gazelda · 21/12/2018 17:40

A carrot for Rudolph

Autismdreams · 21/12/2018 17:57

Catching babies, we have these from Ikea, only £5 and fold flat although not sure how busy Ikea will be?

MysweetAudrina · 21/12/2018 18:16

Dh's main present. I need to go to a specific shop to get it.

Veg

Flowers

Still have to pick up the m&s order but dh is down to do that on Monday.

GlassLantern · 21/12/2018 19:23

I haven't even thought about food. Ordered a turkey and some beef to pick up on Monday. Will get the rest them as well I imagine

NoisePollution · 21/12/2018 19:29

GaryBaldbiscuit · 21/12/2018 19:54
