Off? Off? I am in the NHS, we are not allowed to book time off over Christmas/New Year Xmas Smile

Surely that depends on your role in the NHS? Both my brother and sister have clinical roles in the NHS and have booked time off over Xmas and new year.

I have Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day off. Couldn’t afford to take more time as I am self employed I don’t get paid for days off Sad

Ted27 · 20/12/2018 12:10

I work part time so not in work on Thursdays and Fridays anyway, with the bank holidays and three days annual booked leave that gives me just over two weeks away from the office. Finished yesterday until 7 Jan.

Until I went part time I always saved two weeks annual leave for Christmas

Last day today and back on the 7th - our office is closed Grin

ShadowsInTheDarkness · 20/12/2018 12:48

DH and I are both self employed so Im working my last day today, and then Im not officially open for business until 7th but I'll be doing work at home from 3rd. DH is working his last day tomorrow and then will do a few days over New Year if we are running low on funds, but back properly on 3rd.

I finish in 21st then off until 31st. I’ve never been able to take the whole Christmas week off before so I’m looking forward to it Smile

SAHM so either none or 3 years and counting, depending on your perspective

I finished on the 14th and go back on 2nd Jan. That’s using annual leave though and it’s the first time I’ve taken so long off over Christmas.
