Evening all! I'm not sure if this will be the last or the penultimate thread, but here goes!

Nero, O2 appears to be working now (conveniently now I'm home and don't need mobile data!).

Hi guys. Christmas ended on a bit of a sad note as DH and I realised after travelling to see my parents, his dad and step mum then my sister to see nephews & nieces, that none of them really cared if we had turned up or not.
DH was particularly upset with FIL as he seemed to be shooing us out of the door straight after dessert
It was a bit rubbish and really brought it home that it's because we don't have children. Both set of parents love spending time with our siblings because of the grandchildren. So that was rubbish.

Today, we have had a relaxed day at home. DH has cooked a second Christmas dinner (he does one every year regardless of where we are for Christmas 🙄) which we've just eaten.

Apart from a gentle stroll with the dogs, we've done nothing. DH even put his new pjs on when we got back so hasn't really been dressed all day! It's been lovely, just what we needed, especially as I'm back in work tomorrow

So glad everyone else's Christmas seems to have one very well! Love the next few days (excluding work tomorrow) as we will live on leftover turkey, chips and pickles and it'll just be really relaxed 🎄

Nero thank you m'dear, l do the poached eggs in the microwave but don't tell Dad , hope you had a wonderful time too , sorry to hear the post let your down this Chrsitmas that is horrible

I'm sorry to hear that crazy :( Before we had DS it was a bit the same for us so we just had Christmases the two of us which was odd and quiet but we could do exactly as we liked.

Crazy ahhh my dear l am so sad for you , shame on your respective families to be like that , it is very thoughtless of them and it is totally their bad . I hope you can put this disappointment behind you and not let it spoil your time off together , you have such a strong loving marriage make the most of your time together hugs galore m'dear

Had chicken, ham hock, leek and tarragon pie for lunch, the kids had Pizza Express La Reine pizza for supper, DS2 will go to bed at 6.15

Are we doing a countdown straight away for next year ? am l being a bit over keen here it's only boxing day

Wheelie DS1 has a feeding tube, called a PEG? It's important to keep it really clean. If you need any reassurance, I'll email him and pass it on if he ever replies.

DD will go to bed at 8.50. 😴

Wheelchair I’m sorry I completely missed it in your last post. I’m sorry that you’re feeling nervous about the feeding tube, but I’m sure it will be for the better!.

I’ve had a lovely Christmas, better than I ever could have dreamt of! I had a slight wobble yesterday when everyone was sat at the table and my dad wasn’t there, a quick cuddle with paddy sorted me out though! I just think he’s no longer suffering and he’s reunited with my mum and that’s so comforting I’ve been spoilt rotten it’s unreal, but I’m so grateful and thankful! Paddy’s face when he opened his iPad, air pods and Apple Watch was absolutely priceless, his face lit up like a Christmas tree
My bro’s have had bets that paddy and I will be engaged by next Christmas as we are just two peas in a pod
I can’t believe we waited so long to get together, because every single day I wake up next to him and I wonder how the hell I ever lived without him ❤️ I cannot fathom spending my life or raising Addie with anyone else and how on earth I got this lucky I will never know. I love him, I adore him and admire him in an infinite number of ways ❤️ Sorry, that’s enough being soppy now haha!
Paddy got me some noise cancelling headphones and they are amazing! I went through a lot of traumatic things as a kid, and as a result have PTSD. I’m fine for the most part now, but I struggle in large crowds and noisy places when I feel like I can’t escape. These headphones are amazing they drown everything out and paddy’s been so thoughtful ❤️

Our house looks like a bombs hit it, so we are going to sort it out tomorrow and carry on with the nursery
My bro’s have invited paddy and I to a meal out tomorrow so that’s going to be awesome

I have so many bath bombs that I think I’m sorted until next Christmas

We are dancing round the kitchen whilst we wash up and I can’t help but think life really is grand and the only way it can get better is when Addie is here with us ❤️

Oh. My. God. I am STUFFED to bursting!

Our dinner was ENORMOUS! None of us ate it all (though we all found room for pudding!). It went well too. All cooked nicely and the pudding made 3 months' ago was lovely too. We also had French onion soup to start which was gorgeous too. I don't think I'll need to eat until next Christmas. 🐷🐷🐷

We are back from shopping! We got some very inexpensive Christmas decorations for next year. Including a blow up unicorn that is 4 feet tall and says Merry Christmas! We got her for $7!!

We also got some more lighted candy canes and some strands of lights for about $2 each. The kids bought some books and some board games.

acey YAY Go Mav! You've got it bud! I'm so glad you and Paddy had a great Christmas! That makes me so happy!

cathy Thank you! Although I'm nervous I've joined some support groups on facebook and am hoping someone there will be able to help me and make me not feel too scared.

PSB Yeah a PEG is into the stomach my friend has one. This will be very similar to your DS's just straight into the top of my small intestine since my stomach is not working and is like 'I hate you' lol

Mrs I'm still counting down the days of Christmas here lol. Dad looks SO much better! Your house looks so homey and cute! I love the bedding set too!

I just ate an egg patty and about 12 crisps. LOL I can't really tolerate much right now because I ate too much yesterday.

crazy I am so sorry your family were not appreciative of your presence. I love seeing all my family. Even the ones without kids!! My brother is an eternal uncle as he calls it. Will never have kids.

Mrs I do think the tube would help me a lot. I could gain up some weight and probably just feel better in general!

Tomorrow my daughter has an appointment very early and I think I might stay home with younger kid and let them do daddy and daughter time hahaha

Wheelie DS1 does night feeds, but sometimes he's naughty and skips them because he then throws up in the morning. Because he barely eats though, he needs them to keep him alive.

PSB the dietitian was really nice and said I could do feeds during the night or day and she'd work around my schedule and whatever I decided. So at least she's going to work with me. This all is just so new to me so I'm so very nervous but I think it will help me a lot

Wheelie - I know the feeding tube sounds scary as hell, and I’m not really in a position to comment as I’ve never needed one or know anyone who has but if it’s going to help you put on weight and feel a wee bit better then that can only be a good thing ❤️ Mav is still trying to catch the mouse, it’s tiring him out

Crazy - sorry to hear about your family, that sucks big time! You and hubby seem to have a wonderful marriage so I hope despite them you both had a lovely Christmas together

Paddy and I are going to go for a lovely stroll on the beach tomorrow, some quailtiy time together before Addie arrives next year ❤️

Mav is so funny. All my kitties are asleep. Lilah is on her cat tree and I don't know where the other turkeys are!

It's only 3:45 but I think I might go rest in the bath and eat a candy cane while in there lol. MY girls are behaving so very good and I'm really proud of them.

We've got family driving in from Minnesota on Friday and they'll go home on the first. It will be so nice to see everyone! My Aunt wants me to teach her to spin wool on a drop spindle so she's bringing her supplies. I need to find mine! I put them in a box somewhere with a half finished spinning project hahaha

My June is poorly with a tummy bug so is cuddled up with me and DH and we’re trying to find out some names for these little babies, June has suggested Romulus because of what she’s been learning at school.

DS2 suggests Harry and Sally.

Romulus is a weighty name. He'd have to be a barrister with a name like that!

We went through the ONS annual spreadsheet to choose DS' name as it was so hard to find a name we liked!

PSB Yeah if they give me the very small infinity pump I can put stuff in a backpack and feed on the go too. I'm coming around to the idea of a feeding tube. STill pretty scared about surgery though haha

Cathy ohhh Romulus is a very good but very heavy name. lol I love when kids pile all the blankets on. I'm sorry June is still feeling poorly though. That's never fun.

I'm probably not good at names my kids have heavy names themselves haha
