Just that really, who else has bought overpriced things this year knowing their dc will love it?? Please make me feel better about parting with this obscene amount of money 😂

(Its the funko pop Harry potter one and it's a November birthday present) dd has asked for the blind boxes that are normally £5 so 24 for £50 isn't bad.....

A greatest showman costume for ds1 - ridiculous money for a dress up outfit but they were so difficult to find in his size. I'm hoping he'll love

FayKnights · 09/11/2018 19:25

I’ve bought the Funko Harry Potter too! Can’t wait for it to arrive Grin

bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 09/11/2018 21:22

For me it was buying the harry potter great hall for 85 quid. I know dd will love it, she watches YouTube videos of it most days! I wanted to get it and was worried it might go out of stock so bought it ages ago and since have seen lots of deals, but worth the money to know she will definitely get it!

Thick end of £100 on lash serum for my DD (she loves it , it works really well for her )

JoyceDivision · 09/11/2018 21:54

£100 nearly on lash serum? Shock

Is it magic?

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/11/2018 22:10

It flipping well is magic Joyce Wink my DD has good eyelashes but after using this she's looks like she's wearing false eyelashes.
Much better for her eyes than extensions .

I bought her a years worth ( 2 supersize tubes )

Alanamackree · 09/11/2018 22:12

Reeling from a recent trip to build a bear

thereallochnessmonster · 09/11/2018 22:14

£100 on lash serum? Fucking hell.

Snowscreen · 09/11/2018 22:15
Shock
Redken24 · 09/11/2018 22:16

What is this serum? Maybe I buy it hah

Fantasisa · 09/11/2018 22:18

Where did you get the Greatest Showman costume, Ghouly?

HarrietSchulenberg · 09/11/2018 22:19

£150 for some recording equipment for ds2's birthday, hotly followed by £200 for an "experience" present for ds1's birthday. Both have had significant birthdays within a fortnight of each other and it took some saving, but they both loved their pressies.

dementedma · 09/11/2018 22:29

did you say £50 for an advent calendar???? what am I missing here? What is behind the doors to justify the cost?

JoyceDivision · 09/11/2018 22:35

70... What is the serum? Blush

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 09/11/2018 22:50

Revitalash QVC 2xsupersize £96 (non tested / no animal ingredients)

She'll have LVL in a couple of weeks too.

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 10/11/2018 06:15

Glad it's not just me! The things we do for our children!! demented there's a figure behind each door which would usually be around £5 each. An easier way for dd to get her favourite characters than spending a fortune on blind boxes!!!

Alan I feel your pain on build a bear, I should take out shares in that place the amount we have 😂 some of the outfits cost more than the children's actual clothes!

70 the lash serum sounds good, does it mean you don't then need mascara?? I could totally go for that if it saves time in the morning!

fay I am so excited to see her face. Is the calender for you or a dc?

Ouch!

anniehm · 10/11/2018 06:32

4 airline tickets and hotel rooms for a surprise trip for new year instead of yet more stuff for adult kids and dh are currently sitting on my phone awaiting purchase - trying to decide if they will love a surprise before I press button, I have until 7.26 to purchase or loose them ...

notgivinga · 10/11/2018 06:38

A beauty advert calendar for dd cost £50 which I can't wait to give her at the end of November. She's had a shit time the last few months so I'm hoping it will cheer her up a bit.

curiousthing · 10/11/2018 06:57

£70 for a football shirt for my 6 year old

NachoCheese22 · 10/11/2018 07:16

I've bought the harry potter advent calendar too. DD12 is a harry potter nut so she's going to love it.

ALemonyPea · 10/11/2018 07:22

Nocuts have you seen the Asda Harry Potter charm bracelet advent calendar? It's only £13.

Ratbagcatbag · 10/11/2018 07:26

Unicorn poopsie. A not particularly cute looking plastic thing that craps glitter poo. £50! I practically cried at that one but she really really wanted it.

Romanmonkey · 10/11/2018 07:47

annie what did you decide to do about the tickets. Sounds like a fab idea to me as long as everyone had enough holiday!

gladstonefive · 10/11/2018 07:58

Two words: LOL Dolls.

Most overpriced pieces of shit ever, but DD3 loves them.
