Just that really, who else has bought overpriced things this year knowing their dc will love it?? Please make me feel better about parting with this obscene amount of money 😂

(Its the funko pop Harry potter one and it's a November birthday present) dd has asked for the blind boxes that are normally £5 so 24 for £50 isn't bad.....

Ratbag - I feel your pain. £50 spent yesterday on a plastic pooing unicorn. 😂 At least I bought it in a 3 for 2 sale which lessened the pain a bit. You can't even see which unicorn you've got until you open the fecker up.

£12 for an old, used Lego dementor from eBay. I've been telling my ds for ages he can't have one as Lego don't make them anymore and they were so difficult and expensive to find second hand.

Now Lego have released one in an expensive set which I know he doesn't want, he just wants the dementor. He's asked Santa for it though so Santa must deliver and I bought a used minifigure on eBay.

Feel like a mug 😄

MandalaYogaTapestry · 10/11/2018 10:40

Curious2468 · 10/11/2018 11:28

Also spent £60 on copic markers for my daughter 😱

HighwayDragon1 · 10/11/2018 15:41

LOL dolls... £85 worth....

imnottoofussed · 10/11/2018 15:45

Funnily enough I was just looking at Harry Potter funko stuff in Ryman's. I didn't see an advent calendar but the other stuff looked cute.

Valasca · 10/11/2018 15:51

Mandala, it’s the same product but in different sizes. The others are brown conditioner and mascara.11

DD was invited to one of her best friends birthday party. Unfortunately the main activity of the party is mountain biking and DD has never properly mastered riding a bike, so there was really no point in her going.

Feeling a bit sorry for DD I decided to find an activity for DD and friend to do together another time. I found an animal encounter which I knew they’d both love, it didn’t seem too expensive at £25 pp, but then I realised children had to be accompanied by an adult. So all together I’ve spent £75 because DD falls off bicycles.

MandalaYogaTapestry · 10/11/2018 16:43

Thank you Valasca!

PearlandRubies194 · 10/11/2018 18:09

@Ratbagcatbag my daughter’s asked for the Poopsie slime too!

I’ve bought a Smiggle Advent Calendar - £25 🤦‍♀️

Sparkingfizzing · 10/11/2018 18:14

£100 for a hotel chocolate velvetiser to get frothy warm milk. Hopefully. Confused

CamdenTownie · 10/11/2018 18:36

I've also been sucked into the opposite slime surprise- got a tenner off though so I'm slightly less heartbroken.

Dd has no idea she'll be getting it and she asked for the small one that's about a tenner, so she will be thrilled when she opens it Grin

CamdenTownie · 10/11/2018 18:36

POOPSIE slime surprise- bloody auto correct!

Mumof3needswine · 10/11/2018 19:46

Lol .. I've bought my twins a lol bigger surprise each 🤦‍♀️ at £85x2 for about 5 quite worth of plastic tat ! They will love it though. Secretly I like opening them to don't enjoy paying for them though! Shock

Equimum · 10/11/2018 19:53

I think we’re about to part with £120+ for a Lego Boost set. That will be the most expensive present for one of the children so far!

MamaHechtick · 10/11/2018 20:21

My friend was telling me how I was spoiling DC's today (aged 4 and 5) because I got them the lindt gold bear advent calendars at £10 each. I must show her this thread 😁

livingthegoodlife · 10/11/2018 20:59

Equimum i replied to your thread about the lego boost and a special offer on at john lewis at the moment.

i have spent lots of money on lego boost, sylvanian families and grimms rainbow......

Reaa · 10/11/2018 21:05

Unicorn slime thing here too 50 fucking quid but it's the only thing DD has asked for.

Zoflorabore · 10/11/2018 21:12

I give you an American Girl doll costing around £250, to go with last years one... like an ornament Grin

She adores her but treats her like a special snowflake and won't take her out of the house. Shipping costs around £50 of that from the U.S and at nearly 8 she really looks after her stuff.
Mad I am.

jcoc147 · 11/11/2018 09:20

£220 for a pair of football boots for ds15. He best score a bloody hat trick every match!! 🤦🏻‍♀️

SpecialLittlePrince · 11/11/2018 09:42

Just watched a YouTube video of the poopsie unicorn. How complicated!

Mayhemmumma · 11/11/2018 09:46

Also throwing my money at LOLs!

But saying that I want the look fantastic advent calendar at £62...

Reaa · 12/11/2018 23:04

Unicorn slime thing update

Played with for half hour, now abandoned in the bath as it won't stop pooping Hmm not worth the £50.

KingLooieCatz · 13/11/2018 09:51

£30 for a Warhammer painting guide - second hand off EBay as they're no longer in print. It's come and it's not the one I wanted for him. The best bit is he hasn't asked for it I just know he'll love it as he always wants to learn a new painting technique. The one that's come is specific to old versions of the game though.
