I’m so happy to have my grandad here, he’s just such a positive happy person and always knows just what to say. Plus he’s hilarious too Nope, haven’t heard a peep out of any of the others, me, my brother and grandad have no idea whether they’ll even bother to show up to the funeral on Wednesday or not. As my grandad says though: my conscience is clear. My dad wanted me there when he was in hospital, I was there for the Saturday and Sunday and then I was there when he died and was the last thing he saw before he passed. Everyone knows where and when the funeral is; so it’s on them whether or not they show up :)

Crazy I saw that in home sense and regretted not buying it then when I went back it was gone! Our trip is rearranged for the 7th December!

We only have a bus once a week here. Actually it might be twice now.

crazy My chair is fantastic! I slept in it last night and woke up feeling better than I have in a long while. I can't really sleep in my bed because it makes me feel worse so sleeping recline but still sitting up was great! My tree is in the process of going up! It's only 4 pm here and it's been a weird day lol so maybe no pics until tomorrow but it's in progress!

Also acey keep an eye on kitty. That can sometimes (not always mind) signify they might be getting sick! Hopefully he's just being a nut cat.

Sorry all only just settled. Made it to the cottage, a Stressful 5 hour drive!. It’s absolutely gorgeous where we are, right on the sea front with trees and fields everywhere. The cottage is cosy and gorgeous, not very big and the kids would have to share rooms (2 in each) but we’d cope with that. Gonna explore the village tomorrow and then go from there

Wreck I don't actually have the dish yet - dm works for TK maxx (she switches between stores - tk max and homesense) so she nabbed it as soon as it came in and sent me the pic to ask if I wanted it. Luckily no one bought it so she did at the end of her shift.

I went to Bluewater sans DD (who drags me into Urban Outfitters and TopShop) and DH (who sticks to me like a limpet then whinges about his poor knees)

Bought a load of things off my list including DD Christmas mug and some wrapping paper. Bought money envelopes for gift cards/cash.

Admired the decorations and planned my table settings for this year .

So, I was sat on the floor last night about to unpack some boxes, leant up against the wall. Next thing I know it’s 4am and I’m being woken up by maverick, yes that’s right, still sat on the floor 😂

You’ll be pleased to know I found my tape dispenser... in the freezer!!! What on earth; I have no explanation! 😂

Productive morning so far, been to my dads to get the post, now I’m at home wrapping some presents. The only brother of mine out of five who has been helping me non stop, he’s been an absolute diamond, so because I will be getting my work bonus next month, i’ve Ordered him a PS4 and some games! He’s always wanted one, but he’d never justify the cost on himself. I can’t wait for Christmas; he’s going to be so happy

I’m doing them both stockings, and I need to find something fantastic for my grandad too. They all have tons of little bits too. I have spoilt them and they deserve it

Dad’s funeral is on Wednesday, then I’m back at work the week after. Fun times!

Busy day today, waiting on lots of deliveries and the rubbish van people should be coming too.

MrsMad we may cross paths. I'm currently on the train on the way to Cardiff for a day of Christmas shopping and a catch up with a good friend I haven't seen in ages because she lives away.
It's going to be manic - I'm hoping I miss a lot of the train chaos by coming back in the middle of the match!

DH and I were watching the birds in the garden, discussing how to put food out for the winter without them being bothered by the mindless killing machines cats. There was a thrush having a wash in one of my plant pots that I haven't put away and a blue tit inspecting the insect house for a snack.

I went into the kitchen and he called me back - there was a kestrel sat on the Wendy house! We're quite rural but not so I would expect a bird of prey in the back garden! It was beautiful. The pigeons and crows in the other trees were not happy...

38 days! It really is flying!

Trying to decide whether to do festive loo roll this year, I want to start using that who gives a crap service, so maybe one last festive bum wipe?

Morning all. I went out to Caffè Nero this morning and did a bit of looking in M & S and B&M. Just bought some cheese in M&S to eat along with a nice glass of wine and a Christmas film tonight.
When I came home this had arrived for me. So excited to get reading it. But DS has a birthday party to go to this afternoon.

Yesterday we went to my friend's house straight after school for a ladies' night, children welcome. I took DD home at 9, DS2 and I got home at 1. In the Sainsbury's café, missed breakfast, DS2 had chicken nuggets, chips and peas, I had a Christmas dinner. 😋🍗🍟🎄🎅🍗🍜
