Morning all, sorry to hear of all the woes and illnesses. I hope the skies clear a little today, and everyone gets some nice fresh crisp winter air that helps clear out the bugs and glums.
I thought the JL ad was nice (but I'd forgotten about Elton's not talking thing) but not spectacular, but I watched it straight after the Sainsburys' ad so the 2 were enough to let me go weepy (in a good way - release of other stuff).
DD got enough for her shoebox, I think, last night. I didn't get time to do any crafty stuff, but I did put together tonight's dinner - lasagna sauce from the freezer, made cheese sauce and put it all together so it will be ready when we get home tonight (oven on timer). I had to go out for milk for the sauce, and a few other bits, so I used a threshold spend voucher that finished yesterday to add some beer and wine for the Christmas cellar to the trolley (offer on the wine, and an extra €12 off when I spent €90, so it made sense!).
DD has put in a request for either raspberry ripple ice cream, or raspberry or mango sorbet, for Christmas. She put raspberry jam into caramel icecream (trying to use it up) on Tuesday night....weird child! (She had caramel sauce poured over it as well).
In an effort to get a seat, and really not feeling like rushing this morning, I went the opposite direction to the 2nd last stop (I thought the train was starting there, but it did actually start at the furthest possible one!) this morning, and had a nice journey passing a big open bay with the waves coming in and the sun glinting off it from the horizon both ways (as I then had to reverse myself to actually go into town for work). I didn't knit though, just enjoyed the view.
And now, I really ought to get something productive done (I have done some small bits before coming on here - not a complete waste of a morning). So chat later..
Only 39 sleeps!!
