Here we go again. I think the last thread was the quickest ever, so this one probably won't even get to Halloween, but we shall see!

Acey you'll be in Donegal? We're practically neighbours Smile

AceyMac13 · 05/10/2018 16:04

Fluffy I hope the ultrasound referral comes through for you soon, but it’s great that you have movement. That’s good to know there’s a couple of lawyers on here 😁

Crazy - I hope you feel better soon, that mystery illness you had sounds horrendous! Flowers thank you lovely - I’m so pleased too and just keep thinking that this time next week I’ll be home and hopefully know what sex baby is Grin

Seafood - very true 3am is a ridiculous time to be awake! Ah thank you, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for so long, and next year is my prime opportunity to get started! Grin

I hope you’re having a better day now mrs, and that your cat makes a speedy recovery! Flowers

Nero - yep I’ll be in Donegal - it’s where I was born and raised and I can’t wait to raise my wee one there Grin

I’m just relaxing on the sofa after a busy day getting the final bits sorted for the move! Neighbours from hell have thrown black bags full of rubbish into my garden amongst other things, I really really hate them!

AceyMac13 · 05/10/2018 16:07

Argh neighbours from hell are now having a bonfire, burning black bags! Angry Unhinged is an understatement, just need to get through the next few days then it’s home time!

Acey would it help to phone the council about them now or are you just going to leave it seeing as you're going soon?

I'm from Derry, so Donegal is like a home from home for me Grin

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2018 17:18

Ahhh thank you all so much l knew l would feel better for letting it all out and that your very kind words would soothe me, which they have ,
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH Flowers
My DH said to me that he doesn't care about them, at the end of the day he knows and they know who has done their best for my parents.
l honestly feel my DH is a delight and l feel so lucky to have him.
Shaky is fine, thank God , we took him to the Vet & she examined him and said there was nothing wrong with him that she could see and he may have had a virus , which can take a while to get over. He didn't perform too badly l was dreading taking him because he has never been before. She recommended boiled chicken & rice until he is fully better and to take him back on Monday if he is no better but she thinks he will continue to get well on his own . It was a consultation fee only £35 inc VAT so we got off lightly.
Fluffy , hope your shoulder is ok m'dear , fingers crossed re the job Flowers
Acey such a wonderful time for you m'dear l can feel your excitement too Xmas Grin
Wreck, definitely go to Lidl, we buy our Stollen & our Panettone there amongst other things lol Xmas Grin
PSB sounds like you have been through the mire too m'dear , l have come to the conclusion some ppl are just horrible and just because they are your blood relations, it doesn't mean you have to like them.... or the things they do Flowers
Woolly l think your DH sounds a lot like mine Smile
You are so right l think what l am experiencing is happening to a lot of us, It is extremely stressful & upsetting , you feel as if you are being taken for granted and it is horrible.
Crazy are you alright m'dear ? Flowers
Yes! l am the one doing the grunt work but like you say at least l know my Parents are being looked after Sad
Sea ...yes l agree with you re the Spaghetti hoopgate , talk about being shot down in flames by my Mum though, l said to her about my DDS being disgusted by my Dsis giving them the hoops and she said 'oh it was alright , l didn't mind' at least writing it here has made me lol Grin How absurd life is !
Acey thank God you are going home , l wouldn't want you to be alone there with those maniacs Flowers

TheWoollybacksWife · 05/10/2018 17:35

Acey are you in Liverpool? The view from your window is reminiscent of my childhood home - without the neighbours from Shameless, obviously 😂

Glad to hear there was nothing seriously wrong with Shaky MrsMad

Keep up with the exercises Fluffy - I think I might have a rotator cuff tear in my dodgy shoulder but I keep thinking it will get better on its own. Just say the word and I can pop in and check up on your parents for you Grin - is there any update on their move? I used to envy my friend who had both sets of grandparents willing to help out with babysitting and the school run. Nights out used to be planned with military precision when my DDs were little.

I'm going to have to slow down with my prep - I'm too organised and if I'm not careful I'll peak too soon and end up twitching. Hopefully the Tesco and Morrisons food brochures will be out soon and I can concentrate on food preparation and poncing.

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2018 17:46

Thank you Woolly Smile l am so relieved he is ok.
Fluffy , DH shoulder is much better now but it has taken almost 8 months to get to this place , he has nursed it all this time ie not lifted or done any heavy work with it , apart from the one time Hmm l think he has been very lucky to have recovered to this level considering his age as well. I hope to God you get your treatment very soon Flowers

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2018 17:48

You too Woolly.... l just realised you think you have a tear too ....Flowers

PhilomenaButterfly · 05/10/2018 18:09

Mrs you're so right, my uncle's a waste of space. My mum would make excuses - "He's only young", 28 isn't that young, it's not like he was 16.

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2018 18:12

Woolly, can you imagine if I sent some internet random round to check up on them?! 😂

Are we swapping places again in half term? I'm down the first Sat and Sun. Though does your DS have weirdly-timed school holidays now?

I'm glad your DH has recovered from his shoulder thingy, Mrs. My mum just told me it took her 18 months to get over hers. I'm 2.5 months in now, as I fell down the stairs on 19 July.

I'm keeping up with the painkillers, so that's something. I'll get another 3 month prescription cert when mine runs out, I think. It makes sense with 3 x prescriptions a month (Naproxen, omaprezole and amitriptyline)! Hopefully after 6 months I won't need as many.

Woolly, not good re your shoulder. I was told that a tear doesn't necessarily need surgery, physio can also help. An arthroscopy or other surgery is the last resort.

I'm wary of The Twitch as I'm almost done now, so have probably peaked too soon. Xmas Grin

Acey, if you are in Liverpool, I'm near you for now! Woolly and I have swapped places to maintain the world's equilibrium. 😂

Oh, no move update. It's on the cards for next year. Mum doesn't want to move before Christmas and I imagine not in winter really. I need to view the flats and get them on the waiting list. Now the allotment doesn't need much work I'll have time to do it.

Picked DS2 up, DD's gone to my aunt's for the weekend, heated up a BBQ chicken and smokey bacon pizza for DS2, he went to bed at 6, far too many early mornings for him at the moment, and rather than try and get to sleep, he comes and gets his tablet. Hmm

TheWoollybacksWife · 05/10/2018 18:29

He has two weeks this half term Fluffy. He goes back on Bonfire Night. We are home for the first week and then off for a two day Belgian battlefields trip in the second week. There will be Belgian chocolate and beer in stockings this year.

PhilomenaButterfly · 05/10/2018 18:32

Can you do my stocking please Woolly? Xmas Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2018 18:39

I'll have a stocking too please, Woolly! Xmas Smile

We should try to meet up if you're about.

Deffo Fluffy although I'll have to endure the Hmm face and the 'meeting up with internet randoms' lecture from DH and DD1 like when I met up with DutchOma for a WoollyHugs event 😂

WreckTangled · 05/10/2018 20:25

My dh is also Hmm about my 'internet friends'

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2018 20:50

My DH used to be an internet random on the Muse board, so he's fine with it all! 😂

PhilomenaButterfly · 05/10/2018 21:02

I did meet up with a bunch of internet randoms on the Skin Deep tattoo forum, at the London tattoo convention. One of them came and watched me getting my back inked. She's lovely.

CrazyBaubles · 05/10/2018 21:26

I'm glad it's not just my DH - he doesn't use any type of forum, he's strictly SM with people he actually spends time with only so he doesn't understand MN at all (although he doesn't actually know I post on a Christmas thread throughout the year).
He's convinced if I post anything, people will immediately recognise me (and him by association) Hmm

Thank you for all the well wishes. Bug was weird, I felt perfectly fine except for my muscles / bones hurting as if I'd overdone it at the gym or something. I didn't actually realise I wasn't hungry until DH pointed out I hadn't eaten. I'm just tired now, so I've treated myself to a festive evening Xmas Smile

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2018 22:28

Crazy ... don't tell him l live nearby he will be petrified l will stalk you Xmas Grin
Glad you are feeling a little better Flowers

NoWordForFluffy · 05/10/2018 23:03

It sounds viral, Crazy. I hope you've lots of rest planned for the weekend.

I realised last night that I'd spent all evening cross stitching the wrong branch in the wrong place on my tree, so today I've unpicked it and carried on doing it right. Tomorrow I will finish the branches and crack on with the decorations!
